Discussion of the Quote:
Yes, sometimes we let fear dictate our action or rather lack of action. Fear can be quite paralyzing but we have to have the courage to know when it is time to take a leap of faith knowing that we have done the preparation and now is the time to come to the proverbial edge and jump knowing that our invisible wings will appear and we will surely fly. We may even soar way up high.
Sometimes we are afraid to do something especially if we have never done it before. We are not sure of the outcome so we want to play it safe by not taking any action. However, we have to overcome our fears and try new and different things, we never know, we just might be surprised by the outcome and we may even enjoy or even cherish the new experiences.
Final Thoughts:
We all need to have the courage to come to the edge in life and business and jump knowing our wings will appear because we have done the preparation in order for us to jump. So when we are called to jump, we will not let fear hinder us from taking the leap.
More importantly, others may recognize our capabilities while we may not. Therefore, they are sure that we have what is necessary and are ready to take the plunge because they are confident that we have already developed our wings to allow us to fly. So it is now up to us to have the confidence in ourselves and know that now is the time. So when we are called to the edge, we can jump because our wings will appear to allow us to fly.

Some of us need to push ourselves and some of us need others to push us to the edge to get to the next level of success. It all depends on how you are able to succeed. That is one of my favorite quotes...used it at the beginning of one of the chapters in my "Alaska Attitudes" book. Mine is set up a bit differently:
"Come to the edge -- No, we will fall.
Come to the edge -- No, we will fall.
They came to the edge.
He pushed them, and they flew."
Getting out of the box -- yes, it's something we have to do as we enter this new world of the internet. However, it can be an exhilarating experience, and is one we should all be willing to try.

Yes indeed it is so easy to keep away from the edge & not try to overcome our fears when starting something new.
As a child it was not in our mind to not try to ride a bicycle.
Of course we fell off many times, but hey we got back on & began to enjoy it.
Same as commencing & progressing here at WA.
I for one have "fallen off the training" several times, however I am determined to get back up & work to achieve.
