What's YOUR next move to achieve SUCCESS?
Who remembers the board game Monopoly?
Let me also see the show of hands of who was very good at it?
Did you always plan your next move before it was your turn?
My brother always did
It was not my favourite game to play, but I remember it making me aware and alert to everything that was happening in the game.
There are two main lessons that I took away from playing Monopoly.
1. To take advantage of every opportunity because every opportunity counts!
2. To always ensure that I have a roadmap that will tell me where I am on my journey
The latter, I found, is such a significant factor in being successful.
I didn't realise how much I talked about my ideas and plans until I listened to my son's account of his first few days at University.
I believed in teaching kids at a young age to do important stuff such as age-related baking and cooking.
With this, I've taught all my children at a very young age to do these things.
My son told me that his delicious brownies were the ice breaker between himself and his new flatmates while settling in at the University.
He used this opportunity to start a mini business and start earning while learning at the University.
How many times have we let opportunities after opportunities pass us along on our journey?
Can you honestly say that you now know where you are on your journey?
It has been a while for some of us on this training.
Are you now starting to think about your next move after completing the OEC training?
Guess what?
It doesn't automatically lead to Bootcamp training!
What does your business vision say about your next step?
If you don't have a roadmap, please do get one.
- Take some time and figure out where it is you need to take your business
- Examine your strength and weaknesses
- Where would you say your passions lie?
- How can you put all that you have learned at Wealthy Affiliate and use it to scale your business?
It is time to think and take action!
Are we doing everything we can to get the success we deserve?

Hi Simone,
I love playing monopoly. Indeed, you have to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way because every opportunity counts and you do need that road map.
I am taking advantage of every opportunity that comes my way in my business as well as creating my road map. Thanks for a great post that reminds us of the importance of taking advantage of opportunities and having road maps.
Have an awesome Sunday! Wishing you the very best!
Kind regards,
Nichola
Planning ahead and creating a roadmap is an essential factor that monitor our pathway to us being successful
Thank you for stopping by.
Hope your weekend was amazing
I will mention one clever guy that I like to listen to: do you live your passion? If you don't, you're losing time.
Few days back, I've found Monopoly at home. And I remembered I never made plans while playing. I am one of those who are not planning the future, I can only plan and think of my next few steps, even though I have planned a lot in the past. It turned out that my plans and realization are not only connected to my organization and wishes, because of other outer influences. So now, I make plans with possibility they will not turn out as I thought, because of...something :)
Hi Julia
Sometimes it is like that
You have to do whatever the pattern you are observing
Keep us posted on how you get on
Wishing you the best of success on your journey
Hi Simone,
I first got exposed to Monopoly as a child of 3. My older cousins and friends used to play this game with such gusto I was amused watching their behavior playing the game.
We tend to overcomplicate our business building plans that can end up frustrating us in the process.
My philosophy is to pick one or two things to build my business and do that really well before adding more.
For example, the two things I focus on are writing engaging content using good SEO techniques followed by promoting my content on two social media platforms. I like Facebook and Pinterest.
I have just set up an Email capture form tied to a freebie and have started adding that to my content. Members of WA have helped me test this out when I made site comments requests. So I know my Email capture part works. However, until I modify my existing posts and write more, I cannot expect many subscribers. But I know it will happen in time.
So that is where I am at the moment in building my business, Simone. Thanks for asking.
Cheers.
Edwin
Thank you for answering my question, Edwin
What do you do.on Facebook and Pinterest to engage your group?
Hi Simone,
On Facebook, I write an intro to my website content and add the link. On Pinterest, I just add a new pin.
I face a challenge with Facebook. For a reason they won't tell me they do not allow me to add links to my website. Hence, I have to leave a gap between the dot com and advise visitors to cut and paste into their browser and close the gap before clicking. Kind of a pain, but it definitely means engaging in a weird way.
For Pinterest, I design my graphics, write in the post keyword, a small description and embed the URL.
I have used PPC on Facebook to attract visitors, but that has been a waste of time and money. I have not used ads on Pinterest yet.
I hope this helps.
Edwin
Edwin, thank you for replying
You can have a Facebook group and page
Visit and interact with other groups before forming one of your own, to see what to do and what not to do
Answer questions, show interest, let others see you as an expert
Then when you're ready, create your own group
You can post to your Facebook page, everything about your group
Make your group private but can be found by others
Make it a criteria to offer a freebie for others when they are interested in joining
To get the freebie, they have to give their email address :)
You can send them your website's link via your communication with them
I hope this helps
I learned Monopoly from my older brother when I was 6.
He always won! ...But I learned to count money! LOL

Hi Simone, great post. I love a good game of Monopoly think we must have about 10 different versions in our house.
There is much we can learn from it and absolutely having a clear roadmap can make a great difference.
Great to hear your son is settling into uni nicely and putting his enterprise skills to good use.
Tracy
Love that term, Tracy - Enterprise skills :)
Did you use a strategy when playing Monopoly?
Having a roadmap is the way to go if we are determined to be successful

Hey Simone!
Long time no write.
I'm sorry it's been a while since I've responded to one of your posts!
I'm pretty stretched out right now when it comes to time since I've got a variety of commitments going on, including my online business (website).
As far as Monopoly goes, most people think boardwalk and park place should be bought first, but I say always buy the utilities and the railroads as fast as you can.
Also, having a business plan is definitely the way to go, but it shouldn't be set in stone.
I just revised mine a few days ago.
Have a blessed week!
Your friend, Zach :)
Wow!
Nice Strategy
I always buy Boardwalk and Park place, then the railroads and then the utilities ;)
I need to follow your strategy
Our business plan should be indeed flexible because failure is indeed a part of success
Nice connecting with you again, Zacj
Continue to have a productive week ahead
Thank You and I know you'll stay productive as well.
Also, It was Great connecting with You!
Zach

Have a great night Zach
You Too Simone!
