The Brevit Of Life

Last week this time Koby Bryant was alive and well doing what he liked to do best ; enjoying life with his wife and four lovely daughters. This week,he and one of those daughters are no more with us. The end came so sudden and gave us no warning because as an athlete he was always in good health and still so young.

On the adulation and tributes are coming in from all corners of the world ;we all behave as if we knew him- yes we saw him in action on the playing court and for some of us that is all the connection we need.so we adopted him as family. And now we mourn for him and his daughter.

Now as I am writing this I am thinking that aside from the praises we heaped upon him because of his exploits on the court did we really spend enough time to let Koby know how much we love him and appreciate him as a person, as a father? What about the people in our lives;don't you think its time that we take some time to let them know how much they are loved and appreciated by us?

Here is a warning from the poet"if with pleasure you are viewing any work a man is doing, if you like him or you love him, let him know it.For he cannot read his tombstone when he is dead". All around us are loved ones whom we take for granted and we could add a little sunshine to their lives by letting them know our true feelings for them.

Loved ones take alot for granted as we go on through the years they will over look your failings cover most of them with tears but within them is a longing that grows deeper as they go if you show your love by actions but you never tell them so.

Thank you Novrob.

I thank you for thanking me and lets keep up the fight while we are alive.

Very good Nevrob, but I think that the writing on the tombstone is a message not for him/her but a message from all that knew him/her and what all the friends thought of this individual.

Thank you for your thoughts.
