I have fell at the first hurdle and I'm really struggling to build my website :(
Hiya I cannot seem to make any changes to the colour of the text etc on my web site . This is my first site and I am struggling :(
Ok, I'm presuming you are using Wordpress. In your post/page you should see a formatting bar near the top of the page. Make sure that you are in Visual as opposed to text. See image below.
Look for the "A". The third button from the left side/second row where it says paragraph. Click on the right side of the A and select your color. Be sure you highlight your text first.
And also be careful about messing around with the colours of your content too much, ideally you want to keep your text black and your background white. There are circumstances where you might want to have a headline a different colour or a particular word a different colour, but generally speaking you want to keep your content the same colour.
Thank you so much helping me unfortunately the page you are showing me I haven't even come to yet. What I have done is reset the website back to default and I'm starting again. I think I was too eager lol
Hi Kyle. I have decided to start again and not make too many changes and so far so good. I think I was getting a bit carried away :)
Glad you got it sorted out, Annette. Kyle is right, of course. Be careful about too many colors. It's distracting to the reader.

Takenone one step at a time. Whenever you can visit the WA class rooms, study and ask questions. Don't like at failure as a major stumbling block. Failure actually helps along the way by helping you deal with your mistakes. Write them down so you won't repeat them next time. Im always writing. No one is perfect but its ok to reach for it.
