Out of the entire choices of themes there is not one related to dogs which is what my website is going to be built on, that is if I ever get there. I am continually becoming fru
I felt this way when I first began choosing a template with Wordpress, but you have to think of it as a shell. The images can be changed, so think of the images you are going to load and the balance you would like to have between the images and the content. I wanted my content to be the star, so there are very few images required in my template. All my images will be loaded in my content. If you want the images to grab the visitor, you might want an image heavy template. You can typically change all the images, what you can't change is the structure of the site, unless you are more advanced than I am. Once I had some of my content loaded, I went back in and sampled other Wordpress templates. The preview shows what your content will look like if you change to that theme. Then I was able to select my final theme.
I know this isn't a Wordpress answer, I just wanted to share that I couldn't find one so I ended up building mine out of blogger using a Free BT Template: http://puppybrothers.blogspot.com/
Another option is to go to wordpress.org and search for themes there. Choose a New Theme ~Marion
you can search google for one:
free dog wordpress themes
then download the theme to yout pc
to add it to your website after that, go to appearance, themes, add new then upload

I need a template for doggie toys
WordPress has thousands of themes. I'm not sure you can get one for doggie toys, but you can definitely get one about dogs and add the toys into your content.
Where can I find a theme for my website?

I should add that my sites are still very simple, but I like them that way.
Thank you, maybe your comments will help, this is all very new and confusing to me.
