Hi guys, I want to link in one of my blog posts to another of my posts through the word ‘see here.’ Can someone tell me in baby language how do I do this? Thanks so
Type text 'See here' and click on link symbol. You may use the URL address of your website and then post name.
. As example https://website/postname
Type this address or copy it from the same page of your website inside of your link box.
Agree with Phil (feigner) regarding your choice of words. i.e. 'see here'.. 'see my article on xyz' would be better.
Assuming your using WP editor, Phil's description is pretty much spot on. SiteContent is very similar.
- Highlight the text you want as the link text
- Click on the link symbol (like a chain link)
- either type in the URL address of where you want to link to or select (using the gear first in WP) the article from the list you are given.
If you need any further help, feel free to PM me.
nasty link - you are better off using the name of the post - so see my post on 'how to create an online business'
with the last bit highlighted you click on the link symbol then the gear symbol and you wil lget a list of your posts come up in a box - select the one you want and click ok
and you will have an internal link
have fun

Hi Natalie, first, I agree with the other comments regarding wording - it's always best to be descriptive when linking so that search engines can get a good idea as to what the content is about. This is called "anchor text".
So rather than "see here", "see my 3-page guide on dancing" here or something would be better.
Regarding adding the actual link, this should help: How to add a link on your page or post.

Hi guys,

Hi, Natalie,
The only thing I think that has gone wrong here is your main Profile page connection.
You need the main profile page first. If that is not the problem. I would try again. Or try setting up a group first maybes.
It is a long time since I set mine up so FB may have changed again.
Hope that helps

Hi everyone,
I’ve just reviewed a kindle book and am wanting to put pictures in. Obviously I don’t have the book in physical form to take a picture of- can I
Great question, Natalie! I want to use thumbnails of my covers in my website promoting my own books on Amazon!
Have a safe weekend!
Jeff
This isn't a foolproof get-around, but taking a photo of the device (not a screenshot) with the image loaded on the screen makes it much more complex & less likely for anyone to want to bring a case as it's much easier to argue fair-use. Plus those types of images actually look pretty cool, I use them a lot.
Hi,
copyright is always a violation. However here is what I do. Take a screenshot and then upload the screenshot to Canva and make the picture your own.
Canva is a free tool many of us use. It is really good. The only other way I suggest if you use it in Photoshop.
Canva is really cool and It is free
Worth a try and Canva is super easy to use. I also use Canva for my Pins etc too. :)
Hope that helps :)

Modifying a copyrighted image is still a violation of that copyright, as long as it is not stated otherwise.

Hi guys, I’m trying to add my affiliate disclosure to my top bar and can’t find how to do it. I know I did it with my about me section and privacy policy but this w
Hi Natalie, hopefully you got it sorted - if not don't hesitate to drop me a private message & I'll help you out. Also with regards to FTC compliance, don't worry - you'll be more than covered. The FTC is more looking for people who to trying to specifically deceive, not typical affiliates that are merely trying to disclose.
I have it in my footer too but I also added it to my sidebar so everyone can see it on every page and post I have
FYI, that is not FTC compliant because the FTC requires that the affiliate disclosure always precede the affiliate link. Many themes move the sidebar below the post on mobile devices. You are not compliant with it in the footer and sidebar.
That's right! I never thought that of that, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'll fix that and put the disclosure on my posts that I have affiliate links on.
Thanks again, Jeannine ☺️
You've possibly saved my butt!
Melissa
Can I ask why you want it to be in your top bar? The priority should be FTC Compliancy. Remember, it is supposed to be the last link in your post before the affiliate link. How close to the post would it be in the top bar?
Here is a link to a post addressing this issue. Add an Affiliate Disclosure When you say top bar - do you mean your menu at the top? If that is the case you create a page title it Affiliate disclosure and add that page to your menu. Hopefully I understood what you were asking - if not let me know and we will get you the help you need.
Actually that's not FTC compliant. While you can have a separate page in your menu about affiliate disclosure, the disclosure itself must appear on the page, just before the post. It can't be in the footer, it can't be in the sidebar, it can't be on a separate page.
Hi yes, my menu at the top, that’s what I meant 😂 sorry I wasn’t sure what to call it. Thanks for the help :)
Looking at the following responses I believe you are in very good hands. (A too many cooks kind of thing) Let me know if I can be of help.
