WA Affiliate Program
Updated

I am looking into other affliate programs from companies so that I can market some of their products on my website. But some of them say that they have teamed up with "" affilia

Great thank you! I have just been searching affiliate programs for my specific niche, but I think that I am getting ahead of myself. Thank you so much for the info

You don't need to "use WA" to sign up for any affiliate program. WA provides the knowledge and tools that help you market any product you want, as an affiliate. They aren't an affiliate network, although they do have their own affiliate program. But that program is for marketing WA only.

To sign up for an affiliate program, no matter which one it is, all you need is whatever they require from you. You don't even need to mention WA.

If you're looking to sell "X product" from "company A" then you would sign up through their affiliate program.

Now some products, like Netflix for example, don't have an in-house affiliate program. Instead they use a network like commision junction. So if you wanted to market Netflix, you'd have to sign up through commission junction.

This is just an example, of course. There are a lot of networks that handle affiliate programs for companies, you just have to find out who they are and sign up with them. I hope that helped you.

Can you use any image for like a background image on your website, or if you are promoting a product can you pull an image from google images to use for representation?

Many of these images are either copyrighted or have different levels of "use" associated with them. I have training here on proper use of images that is definitely going to help you out here Nathan:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-find-add-images-to-your-website

Also, if you are an Amazon affiliate remember that you are allowed to use all the product images from the Amazon site to your website, millions of potential product images.

Between these two resources you are going to be just fine.

That is awesome information! Thank you for the training link, I'm just really excited about starting my website but want to make sure to do it right and legally. I am on Lesson 6 of course 1 so far, but the ideas are just flowing in like a tidal wave hahahah

Hi. Any images you decide to publish should be your own, include proper credit, or provide usage rights that allow you to use them. Here's how I typically find images to manipulate and publish commercially. First go here. http://www.google.com/advanced_image_search. This is the advanced image search tool. Fill out the field appropriate to your search. Click the usage rights field. Select the usage rights that apply, and execute the search. The results will provide images that will allow you to use them. You can conduct similar searches on flikr as well. Hope that helps.

Great, thank you so much. What is the difference between the "free to share" and "free to share even commercially?"
