What's My Domain Name?
Here I go again....what's my domain name?
I'm letting myself be stuck on choosing a domain name. I went to namemesh and made a list of potentials. Slept on it and looked at them again a couple of times today. Crossing off the ones that don't jump out at me. Still I let myself be stuck at this. I'm frustrated at myself because I want to make this decision and GET GOING! But I also want to like the domain name! Is it fear? Is it perfectionism? Did you have this problem?

It is a little bit of everything...
I couldn't even get through the first LESSON of my OEC because it asked you to comment on two members. I didn't want to talk to strangers!! Now I am almost in the Top 200 (my rank is 267)
I comment on lots of people, answer questions when I can and I even started participating in live feed. Tonight, I am going to watch Jay's webinar for the first time :)
AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT?!? There have been times that I answered a question and the next person to answer it answered it better than me or I sometimes have misunderstood a question and answered it completely wrong.
Sometimes I go back and edit my comments because I don't like the way they are lined up in the text box (that's the perfectionist in me)
Guess what? I'm still here. I do my best and that's all I can do.
Choosing a domain name is something personal and perhaps you are procrastinating because you are afraid people won't like what you have chosen. It only matters that YOU like it!
Take your top 3-5 names and ask for an opinion in the live chat...
Just take the first step!
Hi Amy,
Congrats on your growth! I'm introverted and here in this environment somehow it's easy to interact. Feels like no judgment. Not really thinking about people liking it. I want to like it, have it be relevant, catchy or at least easy to say.
Thank you! If I had known it was going to be easy to interact, I would have started sooner :)
I can understand that! One of my sites (I buy domains if I like the name) was indexed within hours of buying it with no content!
My guess is that it got indexed so quickly because it is a term people are searching for. When trying to come up with a name, try to use a keyword related to your niche with a funny, cute or just plain absurd adjective before or after it. That way it will be memorable :)

It's normal what you feel, the domain name
does a lot in the identity of your website.
So take your time, you have time.
Have a nice day!
Ingrid
