Theme Options in WordPress did the Trick!

Well, I started to branch out and start setting up blogs for different interests. In the past I would have one blog, but I looked like the scatterbrain that I am and it was a mess.
Thing is, I found a sweet theme in WA but could not figure out how to change it suit what I was doing. I teach high school students; the theme is called "Kindergarten". I sat on it for a few days and almost uploaded or downloaded a new theme. Whatever it is you do.
On one hand I was heading out to Barnes and Noble to see if there was book to teach css, whatever that is.

Luckily, I found what I needed to change the theme, not under themes itself, but under another category called "Theme Options" which is under "Appearance".
Now I was excited again because I really dig the theme for what I'm using it for.
Armed with knowledge I previously acquired from WA, I was able to narrow down categories, link them to pages within the blog and set up personal pics, and change the headings to suit my purposes. It looks like there are many more things you can do inside of WordPress without having to jump into a hosting account than I imagined which is great for me.
Anyway, I hope that helps someone else out there somehow.
