Selling the Click
3
It is important to remember that as affiliate marketers, out job isn't really to sell the products that we promote. That is the job of the vendor of the product, whom creates the landing pages, sales pages, and even follow up series. Our main objective is to "end search", and sell the click as the 'solution', which at that point, is clicking your affiliate link.
Once affiliates realize this, it becomes much easier to get Clicks to your offer and make sales. Affiliate Marketing is really a lot easier than you thought!

I don't think it's accurate to say that we don't sell the products.
Our content should initiate the first step in the selling process.
As such, we should supply helpful information and comparisons which motivate the reader to pursue even more information and purchase details.
Without providing a reader with a reason to click on the link, quite simply, they won't.
In understand what you mean. Our blog content should in sense pre-sell. That is what I meant by ending search. But our call to action of the blog should not be too 'buy the product' but should be aimed at 'selling the click' to the sales page. The sales page is supposed to do the selling for you.
