E Commerce Partnership

I have been racking my brain about content and ideas for my site. Then again trying to calm myself down and focus as the potential topics are numerous.

While reading through the questions section and adding my three cents worth here and there it gave me an idea.

Currently South Africa (where I live) is going through an economic downturn or uncontrolled spiral depending on who you speak with. So, for me to import and begin an e commerce site is incredibly tough due to the exchange rate. For me to purchase locally and sell won't really work due to the aforementioned exchange rate and low amount of disposable income. Our un-employment rate is currently 27% (if the government can be believed)

So where am I going with this? Well, as the exchange rate is on favour of countries such as the USA, England etc. the cost of goods from SA will be greatly lowered. in addition to this we have trade agreements, such as AGOA, with many countries offering a lower import duty than other regions.

Bottom line is that I am wondering if anybody is looking for an e-commerce partner. I could be the contact in South Africa for the goods the store needs, if you would be able to push the products that side.

If anybody is interested, drop me a PM.

Have a good day

You have to think why somebody would buy from your ecommerce website and not from Amazon, EBay, etc.
If you del the same things, it will be hardly benefitial for you and your partner.

I am not gong to contribute about partnership. . But I was just wondering.. I live in England, you live in SA .. and both of us are purchasing the services of WA.. a sire which was grown by 2 Canadian young men.. same goes for facebook, Wharsup etc..maybe you could develop your site to carter for the global village.. I am an Amazon.com associate (US) which means if someone visits Amazon via my site I still get commission frm US paid by cheque.. I hope I make sense even if it is not what you put out to find help with.
Good luck Nick

Thanks Rean for the response. My site (not listed here) that I have been spending the vast majority of my time and effort on is monetised with Amazon and other sites.
My site deals with methods of earning an income online and I like to test them before writing about them. E commerce would be something to write about and once started would be an additional avenue of income.

I see what you mean..Wish you all then best.
