The very First step in the job hunting process is the act of writing a good resume. The resume is a very important tool. It can help you get that very first interview and, hopefully, that job. A resume is a marketing tool. The product that you are promoting is ( you guessed it ); YOU! Recognizing the importance of such a valuable tool, doesn't it make sense to really make it look GOOD ?

A good resume should be simple, just not too simple. I always liked the idea of including my best picture on the front page on my resume.

If you are comfortable using Microsoft Word, then you should write and format your resume yourself. If you are not, then you should consider using a professional resume writing service. Your choice. I like writing my own resume, since it gives me the freedom to test several designs. I think that I have done a good job over the years.

You can search for a lot of online resume writing services. They will let you choose your resume template. All you have to do is fill in the blanks to the questions that they ask, and Voila! you have a brand new resume. For a fee, these companies will also post your resume to various job sites. It is a good approach ! Personally, I don't like the idea of using those click-button resume creations. They don't show character and the uniqueness that is essential in a good resume. They lack the personal touch, the individualism !

Once you have taken the first step and created your resume, it is time to search for a job. You can do that from the comfort of your home, and, without breaking the bank. There are several web site that are very useful. Check them out:
