Ride'Em Cowboy!
Ride'Em Cowboy! That phrase rings so true with me!
My Grandpa Louie was a cowboy. He use to break horses for people in the local community.
Grandpa Louie was a tall, goodlooking man who did not give easily. When he was in his early 40's, he lost one of his legs due to a blood clogging problem. The doctor gave him 6 months to live.
Grandpa had true grit! He did not die in 6 months. He lived 8 more years and helped to bring 2 more children into this world before he got out of here.
When Grandpa lost his leg, he could no longer plow the fields with a mule and a plow. So, he bought a gas powered traitor with a plow. He continued to farm his land until the fall before he died.
Grandpa was also known as one of the best auto mechanics in the area. Here again, he worked on cars up until he got too sick to do so.
Yes, Grandpa was and is my hero!
When things get a little rough in my home business, I think about him and all my other ancestors who struggled but kept on going. What a legacy they left behind for us!
So, I ask myself, "What kind of legacy am I leaving for others?"
I hope that it is one as worthy as my Grandpa Louie's legacy. What a man!

Thanks Myra!
Your post about your Grandpa reminded me of my own Grandpa who is also one of my heroes.
Grit is the perfect word for them, hard workers who didn’t let anything get in the way.
Well said!
