My website looks terrible only because I don't have any pictures on it. Where can I look to find images? I'm guessing I may have to import them, or something. Thanks in adva

Hi, MWicker, welcome to WA, please check this link that may help you. Telma

Images are a bit tricky as you must make sure you aren't breaking copyright laws. I usually use my own photos and Pixabay (pixabay.com). All pixabay are free to use EXCEPT FOR the top row. These are copyrighted by Shutterstock.

I don't usually import them. I copy them and put them on my Word Doc. I draft all my articles this way. Then I save them, as images, into a folder in my WA files. For example, main folder is WA. Then I have say images. Under these I have the title of each post. This keeps them easy to find.

I also often grab a few photos and fiddle with them in Paint.

Have a look at this and then ask me any questions you have.

Helen.

Thank you so much for responding! I was able to go back to the theme I chose, Palm Beach, and download those images. I'm stuck again, because I can't seem to figure out how to get the downloaded image onto my page. It shows a big empty box that says Palm Beach.1.3.1, Did I mention I don't speak 'computer'?

Over here it's bedtime. Let me try and write the method down and I will send it to you tomorrow.

Don't worry, you will learn computer speak just like we all had to!

Actually, WA has a large (very) set of free images via SiteContent. That includes the Pixabay ones. As I can't leave well enough alone I tend to fiddle with them to make them mine.

So I will include this method too.
