Long term goal setting crucial

At over four months now here at WA I would like to put some things into perspective. This is particularly useful to someone starting out totally new as I did myself. I have a few points below that will definitely help someone as they navigate the WA landscape.

1. Clear Long Term Objectives

• It is absolutely essential to start out with clear long term objective, that is to be successful in this business no matter the immediate obstacles and challenges. This is because, unless you have experience in online/ Internet business from elsewhere and you start making money a few days after joining WA, obstacles and challenges will come at you from all sides that will question your decision to have joined.
• Your long term resolve to succeed will help you stay focused no matter what. That is what keeps me in despite not having made a cent YET.
• One of the most important things the founders do in my opinion is to come out front on the fact that this is not a get rich quick thing, that it is a long term business.That if you work hard at it and stay focused, you will succeed as others have. That is crucial. Just wish though that there was an incentive for people before becoming profitable in the business. Whether you are making thousands or zero per month you still pay the same monthly fees. That's just me. Sucks a bit I suppose.

2. Choosing The right Niche

One of the first things you do here is to come up with a subject area that you want your business to venture into, or to choose your niche. This is where it is very important to choose the right niche, an area you are passionate about and one that you can write about for a long time.

(This is for total newbies) Remember this is a business, and so have in mind a niche that you will be comfortable with.At the end of the day you help people with information they need on a product or service and then help them where to find it. As the bible says ' He who oils others will himself be oiled' and so as you do that you get help as well in the form of commission from the owners of products and services that you help promote.

3. Milestones

• It is worth noting the important milestones along the journey. When you buy your first website, when you start building content, when you sign up for affiliate links, etc . Seeing your website ranked and indexed by Google is priceless. All those are important and will encourage someone to move on.
• Attending webinars and participating in the other fora here like classroom, live chat etc are also very important, at the very list mentally and emotionally. One thing that has worked for me though is just stubborn faith. Sometimes things will not come out clear but persistence matters sometimes. Ask questions, read, read, and read.

4. Soldiering On

As I said I'm still in this race because I believe money is coming. I have my own struggles particularly on getting traffic to my website. But I'm not entirely surprised because when I started my niche didn't have a lot of traffic on keyword search tool. Nevertheless I picked it coz I was confident with it considering my background and it's something I thought I could write about for a very long time.

I struggled to come up with the niche and by the time I saw the Diamond Traffic keywords, I was already on my way. I will be starting out a new website soon but check out my website folks shown below.

But I see my posts gaining in their ranks all the time.Im on Google pages. 1, 2 , 3, 4 and so on. And so I'm confident that I should continue at this.
