Today is 9-11-12. Do you remember where you were 11 years ago today when the United States was rocked by the terrorist attacks? Some days I can barely remember what I ate for breakfast, but September 11th, 2001 I remember exactly what I was doing when the planes hit. I remember every detail of my day that day. Can't believe it has been 11 years already.

I was helping my sister in her office. Was supposed to be in New York that day, but plans were changed last minute. I would have been in midtown Manhattan. Have friends who worked in the towers and on Wall Street, and thankfully, they were okay. It was awful. I'll never forget it.

Yes, I was at work an my manager walked into my office to inform me about the attacks on the World Trade Center. We lost 3 of our employees when the towers came down.

Yes I remember very well. I was supposed to be in a meeting talking about student achievement in an open plan office, when someone shouted out that a plane had just hit the first tower, so people all stopped what they were doing and crowded round the nearest pc to watch as the tragedy unfolded. Terrible.

Number 1 tester at the factory, days shift, a TV was set up outside on picnic table, just crazy no one could believe it just happened....wow!!!

I remember. I was at school at the time just about to head some when someone told me a plane had crashed into one of the Trade Towers in America. When I got home it was all over the news and shortly after the second plane hit.

I remember thinking this cannot be happening. Then the first tower collapsed

I remember watching the people jumping out of the windows, knowing they were going to die. I can't even imagine what was running through their minds...

I will remember...

I was at work in the drafting/product engineering room at Hickory White Furniture in Hickory,NC. We were listening to the radio and looking forward to our 9 o'clock break. Noone seemed to know what exactly was going on.We were able able to get to a TV in time to see the second plane hit. When the reports of the Pentagon attack and the plane crash in Pa came on, we were all very scared and anticipating even more attacks which thankfully didn't happen.

I was at home with our Labrador and my wife called from work to turn on the TV. I did just in time to see the second plane strike live on the News.

At first I thought it may have been an elaborate hoax or April Fool's joke, then the full horror sunk in as people started to jump to their deaths and you could see it was all too real. I for one will never forget and nor should we. There were many heroes that day.

I just pray that the World has learned and that nothing like this is ever allowed to happen again.

I can't remember my entire day that day, but I remember some of it. We didn't normally watch tv at that time in the morning. I was at home with my son (2 at the time) and my daughter who was getting ready for school, eating cereal in the kitchen to be exact (she was 10 at the time). My husband called us from work (he worked in a tall corporate tower) and told us to turn on the tv and forget about being on time for school, because history was happening right now and we had to watch.

I was fixing breakfast for my husband, waiting for him to get home from a 24 hour guard shift in ft Bragg. He was in the 82nd Airborne at the time. I turned the TV on and tried to call him when I saw the news. It was several days later when I finally heard from him and that he was ok. Its a day that has had an impact on all of us in one way or another. Thank you for your post, and thank you for reminding us to never forget.

Was getting ready to go to the hospital and pick up the wife, who had surgery. She called and said turn on the TV, as it came on the second plane hit the tower. I asked, cool, what movie are you watching?, she said no, this is really happening. I will never forget it.
