Some updates for you guys

Hi guys, it's Muriël here and I thought it would be good to share my progress in a brand new blog post.

These past couple of days were all about good and bad moments. After my mom left on Sunday November 23rd, I felt kind of empty. Like I couldn't get myself to do anything in particular. I kept on feeling this way a few days after and this feeling stopped me from writing blog posts for my website.

As you guys can see when you check my website, I managed to publish three new blog posts, but I planned to have four posts published by now. This means, that I'm a little behind in my writing and I'll be behind in my writing from now on. See, there will be one additional blog post that I have to write to catch up.

You said you wanted to share your progress, so what happened?

All right guys let's get to the chase here. On Thursday November 27, I had a meeting with my dad and my supervisor about my move to the Philippines. I was very nervous for this meeting, but it went okay.

My dad expressed his concerns and telling me that he wants me to be happy there. There's a lot that I need to look into to make sure that everything goes by the book with both the Dutch government and the Filipino government.

After feeling overwhelmed with all the questions asked by my dad and my supervisor, I managed to send an email to the Filipino Embassy in my country asking them if they can assist me via email. I'm waiting for their reply as I'm writing this.

The embassy isn't located in my city and in my current financial situation, traveling by train is very hard. My dad assured me, though, that he would pay for my train ticket, so that's good.

This Wednesday, I'll have a meeting with my social worker about everything tax related. I feel nervous for that too, but I know that my social worker has my best interest in mind.

Aside from the Filipino embassy and tax office (if that's the correct term??), I'm waiting for an email or a phone call from my job coach telling me when we'll have a meeting with the organization that provides for people with disabilities. They are the one who support me financially.

This organization is part of the Dutch government and therefore when I satisfy their "demands", I satisfy the Dutch government's "demands". I know Christmas comes up and a lot of people take time off, but if I only knew when I would have a meeting with them, I'd feel a lot better already.

Back to my progress here at WA

Well, I did make some progress here at WA. I'll list those below.

- I published new blog posts

- I commented on the websites of other WA members

- I answered a few questions asked by other WA members

- I started experimenting with StumbleUpon and it seems like more people read my blog posts since I started sharing them here

- I started to publish and share my posts on specific moments of the day after I read an interesting article on AngelaHall's website about the importance of sharing posts on specific moments of the day

- My WA following has increased to 528. I'm still amazed how many people decide to follow me. I want to say thanks to each of you who decided to follow me, though!

What I'm determined on doing to provide myself with inspiration to write blog posts

From now on, I'll watch a lot of "feel good" movies and spiritual movies. They provide me with an instant boost of inspiration.

I'll listen to positive thinking youtube videos.

I'll drink a lot of water. For some reason when I do that, I allow positive energy to inspire me and I'm better at refusing negative energy to take over. You know, currently I live in a country that I know I don't belong in and this feeling consumes me on a regular basis.

I know that good things are about to happen, but to "be happy in the now" is a challenge for me. It does make me more and more determined each day to get to a situation where I can be "happy in the now".

I could go on and on about this, but I won't. Thank you for reading my blog post and as soon as I have news for you about my progress to make it to Cebu, I'll share it with you.

Have a great Monday!

You've accomplished a lot, Muriel, in spite of dealing with the personal things. Good for you!

Thank you so much, Allyn!

You have been doing a lot, keeping yourself busy, still I hope everything will be fine for your transfer to the Philippines. Anyway, I think I did come across a few of the members in Wealthy Affiliate from the Philippines too. Maybe you will want to check it out with them.

Yes, that's me, keeping myself busy. It's all I can do to keep motivated and keep moving forward. I'm sure there are many members from the Philippines here, which is awesome.

Murie, I am truly happy for you, wow, you are making great progress personally and also online, ha...ha... ;) I certainly wish everything will go smoothly ... God's great blessing and peace upon you n yr family. :)

Thank you very much, Jewel. I pray every day for things to go smoothly.

You are hardworking, so I am certain things will really go well for you. :) The Lord is our shepherd and we shall never be in lack, amen!! :)

Yes, "hardworking" is my middle name ;) Thanks for your encouraging words, Jewel :)

Congratulations on all your achievement here at WA. You have my admiration for wanting to live in the Philippines to enjoy the place with the love of your life. Wishing you the best of luck in achieving your heart's desires. God bless you & your dreams.

Thank you so much, Presentacion. I absolutely love the Philippines and even though I have to get some paperwork done every two months or so when I'm there, I'd be happy to. Like you pointed out, I can be with the woman I love and that's all that matters.

Good Luck MurieB86 on your travels. I have realized our work is similar to a roller coaster ride. It has emotional ups and downs neither last too long. I assume when we realize the downs are probably a time to relax and enjoy the ride because soon we will be going back up. If you think about that prospective going down is exhilarating and the going up is the pressure and stress. maybe if the look at a different perspective. "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." - Wayne Dyer. You will be fine. Just Fine.

Thank you very much for your inspiring words, Linda. I'll keep all of that in mind. Also, I keep on imagining that I'm in Cebu already with my girlfriend and that we go to the mall to shop for groceries.

MurieB86, You will be fine. Just fine

You sound like you have a lot going on but look at you continuing on! It is normal to get a little down, especially during holidays when we have to let go of family that we don't see often. I hope everything goes well for you and your family. I'm impressed you are continuing to grow and flourish through these challenges. You are an inspiration!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words, Melanie! Yes, I do have a lot going on and sadly a lot of it involves waiting for others to get back to me about stuff. You might not believe me, but I'm in no way attached to my family here. Instead, I miss my girlfriend and her family so much. Especially during holidays.

I'm a person who keeps on fighting and for a while it seemed like I had given up, but then my current girlfriend came into my life and she inspires me from day one. I love her. Watching good movies helps me to get inspired also :)

I'm glad to hear that you have someone who loves you and sounds like her family does as well. I hope you get to live where you want, do what you want with your life, and love who you want to love. Watch those movies and use your strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other. There will come a day I do a happy dance because you will write that your journey has come to an end and you are settled. As always, feel free to let me know if you need anything.

Yes, Candice's family (my girlfriend's name is Candice) sure loves me for me. They give me the strength to keep on going. I'll definitely put up a blog post once I make it to the Philippines and I'll upload a picture of Candice and I to prove it LOL!

Thanks for your words, Melanie. They really touch my heart. I'll let you know for sure if I need anything. The same goes for you.

Wishing a happy ending with the greatest mending and a new beginning...thanks for sharing too, Murie!

Thank you very much, Harold. I'll keep all of you posted ;)

Sounds like you are making great progress
Good Job

Thank you very much, Craig.
