2015 didn't start off the right way, but I won't give up!

Hi guys! Did you miss me?

I'm sorry for my low activity nowadays. Even though my WA rank drops and I had to cancel my Jaaxy membership, I have some updates for you.

Christmas not the way I wished for it to be

I decided to celebrate Christmas at mom's place. She offered to pay for my trip, so I thought changing environments would give me new energy. Instead, the opposite happened. I felt very depressed and sad because mom and her boyfriend didn't seem to know how to deal with me still. Like, they were so wrapped up into their daily routine that it seemed like they didn't even notice I was there.

We got into an argument, too. I decided to go home a bit earlier. Two good things, that happened during those few days were the following:

- I could video chat with my girlfriend regularly after December 25, and she paid close attention to what I had to say. Every morning she asked me how I felt.

- I called the Philippine embassy, and I managed to get some of my questions answered. They also advised me to email them again after I told them that I hadn't received a response to my first email in more than four weeks time.

I got back home... things seemed fine until.. wait for it.. midnight January 1

Yes, this is funny because I started to feel sick at midnight. Not really the start of 2015 I had in mind. Well, I suppose all the tension, that I built during the past couple of days at my mom's had to be released. After almost two weeks of feeling sick, I'm fully recovered. Thank God because next week I have a busy week.

What's going to happen next

A week ago I finally managed to send another email to the Philippine embassy with a lot of questions LOL! I won't blame them for taking their time to really read my email. I hope they'll respond to it faster compared to my very first email. Well, I'll call them again if they still haven't responded to my email by the first week of February.

This Wednesday (January 14), I'll have a meeting with my social worker. We'll call the tax office for some tax related questions.

Next Thursday (January 22), I'll go to the hospital to have my first meeting with the hospital's Gender team. For those of you who haven't had any idea, I feel like I was born in the wrong body. I also feel like I was born in the wrong country. Anyway, I'll have my first meeting where I'll talk about all of this.

In my case transitioning from female to male is useless if I have to live in a country I don't want to live in, if I have to be exposed to a culture I can't identify with.

Next Friday (January 23), I'll have a meeting with the organization who's responsible for granting or denying financial aid to people with disabilities. I'll discuss with them how I feel. My job coach and I hope that they'll agree with my request for a different financial aid package.

It's about a financial aid package where they'll pay me an amount every month until I reach the age of retirement. In today's economy, there's no clarity as to what the age of retirement will be in five years from now.

I'll spend some time to gain more inspiration to write new blog posts for my website. Nowadays, it almost feels like a chore. It's not that I don't like to write about Cebu or to help people prepare for their trips in an efficient way. It's about having such a low energy level that basically anything feels like a chore.

I managed to write two blog posts

Yes, I managed to write two blog posts. You'll notice the big gap when it comes to the date they were published because of what I mentioned at the beginning of this post. Feel free to check them out:

Well, that's it for today. Have a great day!

Welcome back Muriel. I have surely missed you. You will be in my prayers. Blessings!
Hilda

Thank you very much for your kind words, Hilda. I'll try to spend some time here on WA every day from now on. When it comes to blogging, I realize that the best opportunities, to write blog posts about current events happening in Cebu, will arise once I live there.

This made me decide to publish one blog post per week for now. I have some ideas stacked up from the last lesson of course 5. However, if I publish more blog posts each week, I'll be out of ideas very soon. For the sake of publishing blog posts, on a regular basis, I think it's better to reduce the frequency of publishing.

I'm working on a review blog post as I write this. Have a great day!

It's good to hear from you! I hope things begin to move in a more positive direction for you. I'm going to send you a pm.

Thank you, Melanie. I hope so, too.

Nice to hear from you gain Muriel, it looks like things are moving forward for you. :)

Thank you very much, Kathy! Yeah, I know I haven't been around much lately. Let's just say that when I registered at WA I had a lot of time on my hands and I had energy to invest.

I am truly happy to see yu here, Muriel. :) I really hope everything turns out well for you. ;)
You will do well if you do not quit, my friend.:)

You may need to fight the "spiritual" battle here. :) As long as God is with you, you must not give up yr dreams or vision, you will reach yr destination, it is a matter of when only. :) Ps121

I'll certainly not quit, quitting can't be found in my dictionary. I'm fighting a spiritual battle here as well as a fight against some big organizations. Not that they're against me, though. It's more like I have to "wait" for a response and that isn't always easy.

I am glad that you are not a quitter. :) Will pray for you and yr family.:

I never was ;) My mom taught me to always keep on going regardless of the circumstances. She had her fair deal of disappointments, but she always managed to get back on her feet.

Oh, yr mum is a great mentor to you, a great mum indeed. :)
If you have a never-say-die attitude, you will succeed sooner than you think. :)

It was so nice to hear from you.....haven't really seen anything since the storm....stress is such a debilitating thing....depression as well...I am sorry you are having such a time of it all.....stay focused, stay positive, think it...believe it....achieve it..... :)

Thank you very much for your encouraging words, Rosie! Yeah, I've had a hard time coming up with blog post and writing them, and there's a lot happening outside WA right now. Unfortunately, it involves a lot of "waiting for" things to clear up.

You'll get there. Life happens. I got sick at the end of 2014 and first of 2015 as well. We just get up, brush ourselves off and move on. This program is flexible. ~Debbi

Thanks for your encouraging words, Debbi. I think that I'm hard on myself at times.

Nice to hear from you Muriel. Life can be very tough sometimes, and it seems like you have had a bad time lately. I really hope everything falls in place soon so you can live the life you deserve. keep us updated and good luck

Hi Marith! Yeah, life has been tough on my lately, but I'm a fighter. No giving up for me and I know moments like these are one of the many obstacles that I need to overcome.

You know, it's the fact that I'm depending on some big organizations that make me feel helpless at times. This translates into low energy levels and seeing every single thing as a chore, like all I want to do is sleep.

I totally understand, you feel like you lose control over your own destiny, waiting around for other people to make decisions that affect your life......but sometimes that happens,

I just hope they can work fast so you don't have to wait in this "limbo" too long. Crossing my fingers for you :-))

Actually, one of the organizations I'm depending on takes my issues very seriously. By law, they have eight weeks to come up with a decision, but they wanted to speed things up big time and make a decision in half the time. I'm crossing my fingers for that meeting to go smoothly. I could use some good news.

Wow Muriel. You have a lot on your plate but it sounds as if things are progressing the way you want. Maybe slowly, but any move forward is a good one!
I have faith we both shall meet our goals this year!

Yes, Angela, I do have a lot on my plate and sometimes it consumes me to an extent that I can't produce anything. However, I allow myself time to rest and to clear my mind and to work on blog post whenever I feel inspired.

For sure we'll both meet our goals this year. The moving process is at a standstill at the moment, but it will go so fast as soon as I have the clarity I want. For sure it will go so fast that I'll feel overwhelmed at times LOL!

thanks for sharing!
and way to go with the two blog posts! There are times when it will feel like a chore, and when it does, it is a HUGE accomplishment.
Keep up the great work, and stay encouraged!

Thank you very much! I feel a bit better every single day. Having the clarity of some big organizations helps, too.

Hey buddy! Glad you're feeling better. It's good to see you around. Laters!

Thanks buddy! Yes, I'm planning on being around a bit more again.
