Why is the World So Confusing?

Like most people you are probably very confused about what is going on in the world these days. You hear or read about something, only to find that information contradicted the next day, week, or year. One newspaper or television station says one thing while another one offers an opposite opinion. Then the question is, “How do we know what the truth of the matter really is?” I asked this question often and for a long time before I was able to discover the answer. If you’d like to find out what I did to become aware of this keep reading…
People often find themselves in arguments with friends, family, or strangers because of this confusion. This is especially true when the subject is something emotionally charged like political, racial, or religious topics. Confusion is a frustrating thing and can lead to unpleasant outcomes like depression, anxiety, or even suicide if left unchecked.
There is a silver lining to the confusion, however, when you are able to acknowledge it. Without taking this first step, you are likely to keep holding onto the same beliefs and behaviors that contribute to the confusion. Many people deny they are confused because they are afraid this would make them look stupid in front of others even though the truth would set them free.
When one is able to accept that they are confused about a subject, they admit they aren’t aware of the truth. At this point, you will begin to ask questions and wait for the answers that bring clarity. This is where I found myself when I got fed up with all the segregation, negativity, and hate. I found myself in arguments I didn’t want to be in with people that were just as confused as I was.
You may be wondering who you should ask these questions to or what the questions even are. The only question I found that works in every situation is, “What is the truth?” Who you ask it to always begins with self. If your response is, “I don’t know,” that’s great! You’ve stopped just blindly accepting answers at this point. My experience has shown me that the truth will ALWAYS be revealed as long as I am seeking it and not once did it come from any of the sources that brought the confusion.
This awareness was a life changer for me. When I realized I wasn’t going to ever receive the truth from a source that has caused me confusion, the choice to stop consuming them was simple. It wasn’t easy, though, because it turned out to be an addiction as well. So I slowly removed the sources as I became aware of the ones that confused me. At first I got rid of any biased news sources. Whether left or right wing, bias indicates that facts and statistics will be cherry-picked and skewed to make sure the slant they want to display comes off in the best light. This left me with a few news sources that offered what both sides were saying and highlighting the middle ground.
Time went by and I found myself still confused. I removed all news sources from tv and print at this time. The confusion still lingered. Then I unfollowed friends or social media that would continue to share divisive stories. I kept cutting out sources until I had removed all television, movies, newspapers, and limited social media to positive posts or people that were also asking questions.
You are probably asking how I’m able to keep up with current events. It is actually rather easy, because the truth is simple. Let’s take network news for example. The truth is that these stations are fighting for ratings and they are aware that negative, emotionally charged content is effective in meeting their goals. The top level management for these networks have a firm grasp on the human psyche and how to manipulate it to their benefit without regards to the effects to the consumer.
It took time, effort, and will power to curb the addiction I had to consuming the drama dished out by mass media, but it is one of the greatest things I have done for myself and my well-being. Removing the sources of confusion allowed me to heal from an addiction to the confusion and helped me to overcome a long battle with depression. None of this would have been possible if I hadn’t first accepted that I was confused and didn’t know the truth. I am forever grateful in knowing now, that the truth will never come to me through mass media, the ultimate source of confusion in this beautiful world.

The truth indeed will set you free. Pursue it relentlessly and continue forever to resist its poor alternatives, fakes and big lies
Removed 90% of the Lame Stream Media, and then ignorance is truly bliss because we are not being fed government propaganda, and therefore allowing ourselves to become brainwashed by their nonsense!
