What a week! 2500 clicks and.
Well that's what google says...You see the little "happy easter weekend" downturn then it came right back.
These numbers are real, but only part of the story. It's about 100-110 clicks a day on google, but I am seeing over 300 page views a day when you combine google, bing, and duckduckgo (yahoo too? Not sure why it's not showing up in the clarity stats!)
Still getting an average of 40-50 clicks into Amazon, translating to about 3 items a day sold. Not big items, mind you, but it's adding up to about $300/mo in commissions.
But here's the secret I learned this week: You can make money from other sources.
$300/mo after expenses, maybe $200. That's not sustainable. I mean, Kyle is right. WA pays for itself. Eventually. But even if this doubled. Or Tripled. It's not something you can live on.
There are many people here who can make it work with just affiliate marketing. But let's look at reality.
People here make money in different ways on TOP of affiliate marketing. They sell things. They sell services,
Honestly? Not sure I could do any of that. And I'm not looking for it.
Then a random person reached out to me. "Hey I really like your writing, maybe you can work with our company?"
This was totally random. No cold calls. Nothing on my site that says "will work for coffee". I just wrote.
So I emailed him back. Turned out he was a contractor for this small startup. He gave me the email of the CEO.
I exchanged a few emails with the CEO.
Then we met over Zoom. We liked each other. I had no idea what to charge. I gave him a range for a price then we decided to meet again in a week.
That was today. I am now a "contract technical writer" for their company. 5 sponsored posts on my website, 5 more to follow if we both think it's a good idea. Goal is one a week.
This COULD be sustainable!
How did I do this?? I learned. I learned about SEO and blogging here at WA. I found some great YouTubers (caution, a lot of them are con artists, but there are a lot of good ones too). I dove into my niche then found a new subniche that resonated with my readers. Including them.
So learn to write, learn SEO, and learn your niche.
Bee curious!!

Michael, this is awesome to read. Huge congratulations. You really showed what happens when you stay focused, keep learning, and keep putting in the work even when the results are slow at first. It is powerful to see that just by doing good honest work, you attracted an opportunity without even chasing it. That is the kind of momentum that can change everything. I am excited for you and cheering you on as this next chapter unfolds. You earned it.
Stay curious,
Shawn
Could you please share the website you are running for Amazon? are you doing FBA or Associates? Would love to take a look!
Cheers!

Jason it's on my profile. Just doing Associates. Not bringing in a lot of money, but as they say, money makes money. I can take a lot of what I am making now and plow it back into the business.
Well, that's exciting. Congrats to you for this opportunity. I hope it works out well for you. You are on fire this week.
Wat to go on side hustling your side hustle. Be sure to get a review from them if they love the service you provide.
This was the weirdest side hustle. Not looking for it it found me. I guess it’s like the line from field of dreams
