What I didn’t do!
After listening to Eric’s vlog on “What Steps Do You Take After Publishing?”, I was so disheartened, I felt I wasted time!!!
According to Eric, after he published an article to his website, he would immediately go to Google Search Console, and into the url inspection tool, would request indexing. Then to go to the newly published article and share it to social media. Then to go into Site Comments and request comments to the newly published article. Then his final step would be to link the new article to the other published articles., so as to integrate the entire articles together.
I didn’t do any of those! I just published one article and then proceed to write another one! I then realized that my failure to do those steps must be the reason my website doesn’t get traffic. I was dismayed! I questioned myself, why did I not ask anyone about this before?
Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk
There is no use in being upset over something that already happened. Going forward, now I know what I should be doing from hereon! Still mad about myself over this though.
Shout Out To Eric
I am really grateful for Eric’s most recent vlog! Moving on, I know what MUST be done after I published every article. This is the reason why ERIC CANTÙ is a WA Expert!!!

Ok, so first off.
There is absolutely no need for you to go to search console and request indexing. You are getting indexed quickly, which means Google understands your layout and intent and likes the frequency rate of your posts.
Second, the social media thing is likely something we all should be doing as long as we don't let social media become to much of a time sink. Just for the alternate traffic it offers, and backlinks as well although they will be no follow.
I caution folks about using the site comments. I'm wary of sharing my website location here. I learned this practice in self publishing. All it takes is one or a few unhinged folks deciding to target you for real or imagined slights and you've shown them exactly where to go to be a problem.
It's quite common for self published authors to write under pen names and never share them publicly even in writing groups for this reason.
If you do the social media you'll likely do better on comments anyway as the folks seeing it are likely seeing your link because they were interested in the topic/subject. Those comments will be far more on target which could be the impetus for real discussion. If you can encourage actual discussions in your comment section you have some gold right there.
Hope you're having a great day.
Regards,
Jason
Hi Maria, the part about SiteComments is in the OEC lessons. Internal links are in Jay’s training and also in some OEC lessons. Everything Eric did came from WA Training. He applied most of the training learned from this platform to his online business.
Thats what we all must apply the training taught by Kyle and the expert classes. If miss a step thats fine go back and make sure do them. Simple as that.
Now, you know. Sometimes I go back and look at the training or watch the expert classes and Jay’s class he did a lot of training over the years about internal and external linking, his last few Friday nights class has a cheatsheet for SEO. You can find the class at class dashboard.
Hi, Maria
No Worries. 😎
As Diane indicated, the Google bot will automatically crawl each post and decide if it wants to index it.
Requesting indexing in GSC and Bing Webmaster Tools can speed up the indexing process, but you’re already doing what’s most important. Namely, good keyword research and creating excellent content.
Keep on Rockin’ 🤘

It's all good, Maria! 👍
There's always something to tweak, and you have everything it takes to continue excelling! 😎
Missed you in Eric's class tonight.
Keep Rockin' It🤘

Maria, do not beat yourself up at all.
For me, what is most important is to remember to link the new article to older ones.
That way it gets some "Google Juice" right out the gate.
Once you are writing blog posts consistently, your indexing will come.
I no longer go into GSC to request indexing.

I understand you better now, Maria.
Remember to research your competitors well and write more effective content, as Prince Partha tells us.
You are about 6 months along, right?
If so, you are nearing your Sweet Spot, if you have been consistent with your content generation.
I am excited about the PPC Project also. 🙂
Cassi
Yes, it will, Maria!
See you soon.
Cassi
Thank you, Maria.
See you later.
Cassi
Looking forward, Maria.
