2 years at W.A.!
Wow, where did that time go!
I first got started with a Personal Development blog as I love anything to do with that.
But I was so fascinated with Wealthy Affiliate and the thought of how many people out there must be struggling to get started with their websites, I parked it for writing in the MMO / online marketing niche.
There is no denying that this is one of the trickier niches. I have struggled to get traffic so you can imagine my surprise when I got a couple of sales!
18-months on (with my new website), I am still passionate about being an affiliate for W.A. and working on some non-SEO-related ways to drive traffic.
My top advice to anyone starting out is to research the competition before deciding on your niche. Look at who is on pages one and two for the typical search queries in that niche. If they are top quality, epic posts, think again or think of narrowing your topic or audience.
Through W.A. I have got to know some fabulous people in the community and have even done some freelance writing! One gig even resulted in this testimonial!
“Jean is a real find! A creative, imaginative writer who understands online marketing. A delight to work with. She just gets on with the job and delivers a great piece of writing.” – Barry Dunlop, IncomeDiary.
In a million years I would not have believed I was capable of that so thank you Kyle and Carson (and Jay!) for your fabulous training and to everyone who has helped me along the way.
