High hopes
Hey there WAers! (Hummm...I think I might have coined a name there... Kyle? Carson?)
[cue the song 'High Hopes"... "Just what makes that little 'ol ant, think he'll move that rubber-tree plant..]
Last week I dusted off my notebooks from 2015 when I joined WA and decided to get this internet party started. I've been in and out stopping for webinars or clicking around the trainings for 3yrs 8mos. I've learned quite a bit about building an online business, so my membership has always had value to me.
I own a few chunks of inet domain world and I moved and parked them at WA when the hosting business started here. That is the best deal on the internet hands down.
Lately I've been yearning to have my online business up and running. I'm approaching the those golden years, and I don't have the T-Rex sized egg I had hopped to have warming the retirement nest. So I finally am grabbing hold of the reigns and getting my house in order.
If you have any great blogs about being a Comeback Kid or like me you have had a very slow start on your WA success point me to it. I plan to log on each morning and get a dose of positivity from this wonderful community to help me chart my course and stay it to the end.
I forgot how great WA is for support and friendly advice while you work. Heck, I think we have had one of the most Googlesque remote work enviroments before that became a thing.
I am happy to be here with all of you -- old timers and new timers -- on this adventure as we all strive to make it to the top with hard work and determination. Let's continue to build something great here!
Oops, there goes another rubber tree plant.
Oops, there goes another problem kerplop, kerlpop!

Hi Michelle.
That song "High Hopes" doesn't sound like the High Hopes with which I'm familiar:
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The nights of wonder
The line that I think reflects some of your comments is the third, "With friends surrounded". I like that. Music's pretty cool too, if you're into rock. (If you don't recognise this, it's High Hopes by Pink Floyd.)
"With friends surrounded"—great characterisation of WA, methinks.
Regards,
I agree, the support her at WA is amazing. And this post is amazing, I love the positivity and "high hopes" very creative
Thanks for this very positive post,
full of hope.
Have a great day!
