My website speed is "poor." I need to speed it up. So, does inserting a photo using a url faster than inserting it directly?

You can do that. I have a website for images only. It has a white front page. If applicable, you could utilize it to waitlist your various projects.

So, you have your images on a separate website, and then url the images to your posts?

Yup, that's absolutely right. However, there's a drawback: it doesn’t include the URL of the leading site, which also appears in SERPs. Nonetheless, you can modify your alt attributes to optimize them for search engines and user experience, such as including descriptions that feature the leading site.

Thank You. I never thought about having a separate website. Would a subdomain work just as well?

Yup :) You can call it images.[domain].com - replacing domain with yours

Thanks. I think I will give it a try.

Appreciate it.

Mike

Fabulous Mike and do let us know how you get on :)

My blog posts are full of images and they don't seem to slow the site down. One thing I do is crop or resize my images to their actual size in the post or page.

Are you using an optimizer? If so, it may not be the pictures that are slowing it down. If you don't have an optimizer, you should have one. If it's not the photos, maybe you have too many plug-ins?

I have Kraken. With that, I guess I don't have to do anything with the images. I'm not sure what too many plug-ins would be. I have Kadence and I use their plug-ins, there are 6 of them. Also, 5 other plug-ins.

Have you gone into your back office and then to the media library and applied the Kraken to the images or just simply activated the plug-in?

If all you have done is activate the Kraken plug-in, you are not finished with optimizing your images, as they are not being optimized at all.

Let me know if you have any questions about this. I have Kraken and for the first 3 years only had it activated and not actually working for me and my images.

I hope this is helpful.

Stacie

There are easier and more efficient ways to optimize images.I use Kadence and it is fast. i recommend you delete Kraken and add media converter. Media converter coverts the files to webpages which are smaller files. Activate the plugin and set it up,it is very intuitive. You should be fine then

I hope this has been figured out.

Oh, I didn't know this. Thank you Stacie.

Thank you. But how do you do that? How do you apply Kragen to the images?

Can you clarify, especially with the "Submit" button? I am not sure I understand.

A form, name, email, Submit.

I don't have this issue; I mostly use Blocksy for theme

I use kadence and have never noticed it. But i would not change to extreme because common sense would tell there would be ramifications

What do you mean, Ramifications? I was using Extreme and after the glitch, I switched it to Accelerated.

Cheer for the heads up Mike. I haven’t noticed it myself but good to know for future reference!

Can you be a little more specific with what you are updating?

Would love to see if I can assist.

WA Affiliate Program

For those who are promoting Wealthy Affiliate via blog, ppc, etc., do you also have an autoresponder in addition to having them sign up for a free account or do you just have t

Aweber, free for the first 500 subscribers.

No matter what I'm promoting, I use a Lead Magnet that adds visitors to my autoresponder customer and prospects list. Your list is your only long-term asset.

I have used autoresponders before. However, the PPC campaigns I am using now are more effective when not using autoresponders. This is mainly because you are introducing two steps to the program rather than one. I have found I get more signups not using the list building method.

Yes. I agree. I have a PPC where I do collect emails. From that I only get about 40% going to the next level of signing up for a free account.

Thank you! I was also wondering about that.

I don't yet! You'll get some better answers soon!

Jeff

Thanks

I've spent most of this year working on my affiliate program. I've got it pretty much on "cruise control" though I need to be aware as to what is going on with it.

You have FANTASTIC responses here; kindly let us know if you require additional assistance.

You are well covered here by Kyle and Eric with some excellent advice, and guidance.

Please let the community here know if you still have any further questions.

I take a straightforward approach. My audience finds some content I’ve created that answers their question or search -> After answering it I leverage WA as the training I owe my success to -> they read / watch my WA review -> they click my affiliate link to join.

Thanks Eric.

Are these people that are coming to your website, join a "list" of sorts, and then you are sending them to a thank you page or another page?

Is that what you are looking to streamline here Michael?

It can be either / or. Once I get their email, they can either go to a thank you page with a link to WA or they can go directly to WA. I don't believe it matters at this point.
