Start today. Just leave your website alone. Nobody really cares because a person will come to your website through a keyword on google and read that article. And he will click on a link and u will get paid. He may or may not even bother to checkout your websitte later.
So stop wasting time on your website like i am doing! Even i gotta give up the beautifying of my website IMMEDIATELY.

I would start writing content. Because no matter how much you design if you do not write any (or little) content, you may not be indexed by google and no one will see your designed site. Best to write content and rank your site first so that everyone can see it. Who cares what it looks like. When you finish that then you can start designing your site. Your visitors will be so impressed with the transformation that they will hire you for your designer skills, and you will make a second (or third or whatever) income from this. What a way to advertise your skills, eh?

Try to find a theme you're at least "comfortable" with. Then start writing. Once you start writing, everything will start coming together in your mind of what you want. Then you can always go back and change your theme. At least you've started writing. And you may be surprised if you find you're happy with the them you originally chose. ;) Just relax. :)

To this day Aisha, and over 3 years later I still do not have a cover photo on my website. lol. It didnt stop me writing well over a hundred posts and just get taking action on the important things to get traffic to my site. And of course, making money!

Don't worry too much. You will get it done. Remember though it is content that is King. That and the keywords are what will get you ranked high as well as the traffic.

There is one more thing my mentor taught me about my website. I originally had a large picture at the top before the content showed. He told me that if people have to scroll down to read your content most will click out. They need to see the first few lines right away that tells them how and why they should continue to read. I reduced the vertical width of my picture so that the start of the content was visible at first glance without scrolling. And my traffic started to increase.

Think newspaper headlines and summaries to the article, It is early days for you and you will be learning the tricks of the trade. I wish you much success in your affiliate marketing journey.
