I am absolutely loving Google Adsense! Once my website started getting traffic, I finally got around to enrolling with Adsense. I put one ad in my sidebar, so it's always visible no matter what page someone is on.
The best part is that I am getting ads that pay per impression. That means I get paid any time the ad is simply shown and the users don't even have to click on them. I haven't even gotten a single click yet with the Adsense ads, and yet, I have made money for the last 4 days.
It's not a whole lot, but it has been increasing. It started out as $0.02 and has been going up about a penny every day. So I've made 11 cents, lol, whoop-de-doo! That won't even buy me half a donut, but the important part is that it has been consistent so far and it is trending upwards.
If I can keep growing my traffic and keep lucking out with getting ads that pay by impression, it will be so much more exciting a year from now.
Since I noticed the benefits of pay-per-impression ads, I will be keeping the Adsense ad in the fixed sidebar and it will remain the first ad. This way, it is always at the top of the page and user won't have to scroll to get to it.
