My Wealthy Affiliate Testimonial

I tried to start a blog several years ago and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. My hosting through Bluehost was costing me about $250 per year for that one blog (with security features).

And in all of 2 years, I got maybe 3 visitors to my website. I didn't know how to write a good title and definitely didn't know anything about keyword research. I just thought I could share my posts on Pinterest and traffic was bound to end up at my site. Well that's not really the case.

Then I sort of haphazardly stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate as I was browsing through blogs about blogging.

I was skeptical at first. The free membership actually offered a lot and the premium membership sounded expensive to me. (But compared to what I was paying before for hosting, it's actually a steal) I had never heard of Wealthy Affiliate before and wondered how such a gem (if that's what it truly was) had stayed hidden from me.

But I thought I would try it out and start a brand new blog in a less saturated but growing niche.

Well it turns out Wealthy Affiliate is pure gold! I became a premium member and started implementing what I was learning in the trainings. And the incredible thing was that I started getting organic traffic to my blog within the first couple of weeks. I was definitely getting traffic from other Wealthy Affiliate members who were gracious enough to help me out, but I could tell from Google's Search Console that I was getting organic traffic from my keywords.

The training courses seem so simple after having gone through them, but I wasn't doing those simple things the first time I tried creating a blog. Now that I am, I've been amazed at how those simple things made my website work out right from the beginning.

And a shout out to the community here - I am a member of several Facebook groups for entrepreneurs meant to "help" each other, but none of those communities are nearly as supportive or positive as the one here at Wealthy Affiliate. The members here really are incredible. It's truly a blessing to be among people who can help each other and build each other up, without being nasty, rude or egotistical about it.

I still have a lot to learn and a lot of things to improve with my website. My next two biggest goals are to get an email list set up with an optin and start using a different Wordpress theme that will look more unique. I figure there will always be new things to learn when it comes to websites and blogging. And that's one of the factors that makes this all sound so interesting to me.

I have loved every minute of my membership with Wealthy Affiliate and don't regret a penny that I have spent on it.
