THE FOX AND THE CROW
A Crow having stolen a piece of cheese from a cottage window, flew with it to a tree that was some way off. A Fox, drawn by the aroma of the cheese, came and sat at the foot of the tree, and employed his plan to make it his.“Good morning, dear Miss Crow,” he said.
“How well you are looking to-day! What handsome feathers you have, Perhaps your voice is as sweet as your feathers are fine and if that Is so, you are really the Queen of Birds.”
The Crow, quite beside herself to hear such praise, at once opened a wide beak to let the Fox be judge of her voice, and so she let the cheese fall. The Fox snapped it up, and gloatingly stated,
“Ah hah my good soul !
Learn that all who flatter have their own ends in mind. That lesson will well repay you for a bit of cheese.”

I like flattery but think I would not show off & lose the cheese, not worth it ... nice analogy ...
Your very welcome ... ha, ha, ha ... not sure if being compared to a crow is flattering but I'll take it as a compliment ;)
Quite Wise advice I'm sure , Thank you . Please remember " if you don't have something nice to say it's best not to say anything". Let us all be wise enough to tell the difference.

That's such a great story and a great moral to boot. It reminds me of all those telemarketers that always try to sell you stuff. Thanks for sharing, and have a great week.
Hi Lori,
Glad you enjoyed that. Good call on the telemarketers..!!
Cheers,
Mark
