Yoast SEO plugin November 2015 Bug Fix

If any of you folk have the Yoast SEO plugin installed on your site, you may have noticed that there has been an update today. What you may also have noticed is a message stating that "Your homepage cannot be indexed by search engines". It asks you to then click a link to fix this and you end up at Yoasts homepage.

This is nothing to worry about as I found out. Apparently there is an add on called OnPage which doesn't check the homepage status when it is upgraded.

To fix this, follow these steps:

1. Click on your WordPress Dashboard.

2. Scroll down to the bottom to find the "Yoast SEO Posts Overview" section.

3. Click the link "Fetch current status"..

4. Once this is done, refresh your dashboard and the error will be gone.

Thank you

Hi, I don't use Yoast, but good information for those that do.

Do you use any plugin or another tool Harry?

Hi, I find All in One SEO as good as any and easy to use.

Thank you for the heads up Martyn.

It freaked me out when I had seen it I must say. Panic, but after a bit of research it wasn't an issue. Do you use an SEO plugin Alexander?
