Amazon Images

Ok, so as per Amazons Terms and Conditions, you may well find that when writing a product review you can only use the designated image that Amazon supplies. Unless you can find any other images that have the necessary copyright license to use, this can be a problem, especially if you are reviewing a particular brand and have not actually bought the product to review.

I had this problem with my first review I wrote - http://thecotbedssite.com/tutti-bambini-katie-mini.... I spent hours trying to find relevant images to use that wouldn't get me into trouble. My solution - I emailed the company to ask if I could use the images on their site as they advertised on Amazon also. I explained that this would be mutually beneficial for all parties and within a couple of hours I received a response saying that this was perfectly acceptable and if they could do anything more to help my promotions.

Great result.

I am not sure that this will work every time, but I have found that for me, on this occasion, it has.

Now to add those extra images.

Best of success to you all my fellow WA'ers - Martyn

Great idea! :)

I have tried that, but never received a answer. I will try with another company though!

I don't suppose it will always work, but unless you try eh? After all, everyone benefits

You would think that they would say yes, but who knows what they are thinking.

There are many spammers out there trying to leverage income away from legitimate businesses, so I dare say that many are dubious. If you can show transparency and give them links to your site and tell them your intentions, I can't see why they won't agree. I guess it depends on the company

True, they have to be careful just like anyone else!

Thank you for the great idea. I should imagine that most companies will jump at free advertising of their products.

Lis.

I am glad that you got the permission from the company for granting the use. Thanks for sharing the post! Perhaps I might do the same thing if similar situation arises

I always believe that there is no harm in asking. Best of luck to you
