So You Think You're Different?
It is my turn to be the speaker at this week's meeting of our group. My topic is "So You Think You're Different?".
Most of our failures in life come from fear. And a big part of this fear is our perception that we are so much different from other people. That others are going to judge us poorly. We cannot possibly fit in with their crowd.
I'm not smart enough. I'm too tall/short. I don't have enough money. I have too much money. I can't talk in front of people. I'll sound uneducated. I'm not the right religion or I'm not religious. There are a thousand reasons.
The same concerns apply here at Wealthy Affiliate. We are all, indeed different. We come from different backgrounds, social and economic positions in life. We come from all around the world. Yet, we all have the same stigmas. We are all different!
Although we are all different, we all are unique individuals. This is the aspect of life we need to embrace. To really belong, we need to look for our similarities. What do we have in common? What qualities can I bring to the table? How can these benefit others?
We are all in the Wealthy Affiliate Community to become successful entrepreneurs. Just as importantly, we are part of a community that is dedicated to helping one another.
The individual becomes stronger through belonging to the community. We are not so different from each other! We have all been in the same shoes and traveled the same road.
So, we are different, but we are not so different!
Thanks,
Bill

One of the blessing of the networked community- finding out how much alike we are, in all of our individuality!

Yes, we are each and every one of us 'unique' in our own way.....but by being human beings, we are all same.....WA is the best living example of a working community that I have ever come across....
Nice thoughts regarding Wealthy Affiliate:) of course we are unique but not higher or lower as human beings:)

Thanks, Jason. Instead of focusing n our differences, we need to focus on our similarities.
