This is the Galloping Goose #5. It is one of seven railcars, known as "motors". They were built for the Rio Grande Southern that ran from Durango, CO and Ridgeway, CO. All seven are now operable. Three are at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO. One is at Knotts Berry Farm in California and one is on display in Telluride, CO.This one is on display in Dolores, Colorado. This one does make guest appearances o the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge and the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic.

Love Silverton to Durango. Rode as a little kid. Also fished the Animus a few years back. Good times.

It's beautiful country. I've been here 48 years. I left three times, but always came bac' I guess my being here was meant to be.
