Backup....Backup and Backup Some More

About two weeks ago, I was busy working on my website when all of a sudden....BOOM! my laptop froze. I though it was just a temporary problem but oh was I so wrong. I rebooted my laptop and to my amazement, it wasn't booting up AT ALL. This wasn't the first time that it had froze on me and I thought that it would be an easy fix, just reboot, and get back to work.

After hours of failing to boot up, I did some research with my phone, and realized that the only way to get my computer up and running again would be to wipe my whole hard drive and reinstall my operating system.

Seeing that my computer had frozen multiple times before, you would think that I would've been smart enough to get an external hard drive and back up all my data, but foolishly I tried my luck and I did not.

So finally I swallowed the lump in my throat, and erased almost 3 years worth of papers pictures movies, you name it, EVERYTHING. At the end of the day I was able to successfully reinstall my operating system and get back online but again everything was gone never to be seen again....or so I thought. Luckily I was able to research and find a software that was able to read my hard drive and find all my information.

Ladies and gentlemen all this brings me to my point, if you do not own an external hard drive already, please do yourself a huge favor and get one immediately because it is a life saver..literally. Don't be like me and try to just wing it because if it can happen to me, it definitely can happen to anyone.
