So I had a blow up over my niche today
I want to let you know that where people may be interested in all kinds of business and all kinds of opportunity that you should understand one thing.
The more ways you spread your focus the longer it takes to get to the finish line.
Choose one, maybe two, but then leave it there, and work your ass off doing the best job you can right there.
Why? Well I am a bit add, you see. and I don't focus on just one thing. I go off on tangents. Horrible tangents that dont give me what I want, and in the end I end up having a BF and nothing really has gotten accomplished. Whereas friends and colleagues of mine have found one niche and focused solely on that, and well, here they are successful only one year later.
Moral of the story? Pick one thing and do it really really well, and after it has a great foundation that isnt going anywhere you will be able to scale it, promise. Watch out for the distractions and put some blinders on if you have to but focus! and watch things come together as you work toward being the best you can at that one thing.

I found myself doing that today. Had a thought for something else to include, spent the whole day chasing that rather than building my site.
This is very valuable information for me because I'm starting to think about all the things I need to do to reach my goal. This is when I begin to stretch myself too far. I just need to focus on one task at a time or end up doing none of them..
Thanks

Where your focus goes your energy goes, so its very true that whatever you give the most focus is going to get the most growth.
Great advice! I agree with you 100%, we tend to lean towards being scattered all over the place. Focus is key!

I focus on getting at least one post per site done each week. I literally can't think about anything else until I've done that. Once the posts are done, I like to find tips on how to make my sites better. Research, research, research. I look at other blogs within my niche, and I stay on top of my Google alerts to see what others are talking about. A little touch up to the sites and then the week starts all over again. Definitely a rewarding routine.
