Contradictions
I try my best not to make any outright statements in my blog. Just opinions and nothing too solid in that case either. But after writing about a dozen posts, and doing more research, you start to find yourself in a situation, where there's an exception to the rule, or you find new information that contradicts what you said before.
In my case, I've said that detox dieting is not the answer to long lasting health and weight lose. I specified that detox diet are typically week long things, and if you wanna be healthy and lose weight it requires a lifestyle change. Luckily my contradiction isn't too bad. I'm doing the master cleanse as a kick start (like I said was acceptable in my previous post) and I will be continuing on with a healthier, cleaner lifestyle.
But it did mean I had to go back to my previous post (as I also wanted to put in a link the my master cleanse post) and make a few changes. I feel like it's important that you give out good solid info, and if new research pops up that disproves a post or changes an opinion that you wrote, it's important to go back and fix it/let people know. Otherwise you become outdated, and not just that, but you give out information that is less than helpful.
Personally, I just had to throw in another paragraph pointing to my newer post and specifying that I was planning on continuing on, past the 10 day diet, with a cleaner lifestyle plan, and that I didn't expect the diet to be my fix-all answer.
So the moral of the story, admit when you are wrong; in the end people will respect you and your website for it. Not to mention it proves that you care about your audience and the quality of your website, not to mention showing that you are an up to date authority in your niche.
Cheers!

Totally agree! It is so important to keep up on the latest research in your niche and to update your site as needed.
