Building a new website

Hi everyone,

Hope your all doing well, I've been very busy trying to rebuild my gardening website as I was hit hard by googles update.

I need to ask a question to everyone about the format of a new website.

I'm thinking of building a website which advertising certain products but I need to know how to get the website so you only need to make one transaction via my site. The site will show all the cheapest prices on the Internet for the buyer to choose from once they've done a search for their product(s). Once they've selected then it will go into their shopping cart.

Now they've finished they can make the one transaction via my website, then the site will go and purchase these products from other sites.

The website would need to have its own shopping cart along with a search section available for people to find that product they want.

Can this be done and how could I complete this?

There is a company that is like WA except they teach you about creating and marketing Apps(and it's not cheap). The Owner's name is Chad Murata... I am one of many concept/creators there. The company is AppEmpire. 60 minutes did a story on him and Steve Wozniak(apple/steveJobs original partner)... You could google Chad Murata, Steve Wozniak, 60 minutes tv news show and see the news story of Chad and his success with app development and the steps he took that have led to uncredible success... He is called an Appreneur. He is also very hands on like Kyle and Carson, that is if you are a member of his tribe.

You would definitely need a coder/developer... it is not something you cannot achieve yourself... or it could be an app with-in your site and mobile compatible as well.... making it a bit more flexible and easier for you to also interact with your customer after the sell. You would also have some sizable hurdles to jump through for companies to give you access to their inventory data base which is something that would likely need to occur to be able to finalize the sell and get it shipped. I think the concept of your idea is very good... it will likely involve some capital to get it executed. You might explore "kick-starter" for funding... there are also other similar places, but kickstarter.com yields very good results for certain types of products. I would also try to figure out a way to protect the nuts and bolts of your idea, pronto.

Thank you for that, I've look into getting it protected and it'll take up to 33 months unless I'm looking in the wrong place. Do you mean getting the idea pantend? I understand this idea would need capital to get it up and running which is something I'm prepared to do and I will also do anything which the company's require to allow me to use their database. I will go onto kick-starter and have a look at what they offer. Do you think this could be archived then via a plugin into a Wordpress site? I always thought I might of been able to do this using company's api's?

Thank you

Morgan

Thank you for that, I just need to get it built before anyone else thinks of it and creates a site like it! I did look into drop shipping but it would mean purchasing the products myself and I doubt I'll be able to get them as cheap as people sell items online.

Do you know someone who I could speak to which might be able to aid me in the construction?

You could check a site like elance.com or rent-a-coder.com or some similar site (search for freelance web developers). Just make sure that they can actually get it done for you. Based on my web development experience it may be tough for someone to accomplish - but I could be wrong.

Thank you, I'll check those sites and see what I can find. I do think I'm going to have to employ someone to build the actual site as I don't think this is something I could build myself. I'm sure there is someone out there who could complete this task for me.

Thank you again

Neat concept. Seems like it would be tricky to do technology wise. It would require all the various vendors to recognize where the link came from then essentially allow you to purchase the products from those vendors and have those vendors ship to your customer. Shipping costs alone could get ugly. It would be like an affiliate/drop ship arrangement. I am not aware of anything like this that exists.
