The new Squidoo filter
As some of you know, Squidoo has been my home base for quite a few years. There's all kinds of changes going on over there. Whew!
There is a new filter for publishing and updating. If you want to read about it and see how it looks, Vallain has a real informative blog post about it.

I have updated my top 5 in my main account this morning and have not hit the filter yet. I am removing a few products as I update. Remove products, add more content - that seems to be the rule right now.
Do you write on Squidoo? Have you met the new filter?
My new goals for 2013 include 5 blogs -- I want to get 10 posts on each one and then perhaps create 5 more. One day at a time. Right now, I am working through the classes here at WA, but I do hope to interact more as I make progress!

sounds great, Scott!! many of us already have had lenses locked. today I was thrilled to find my top five okay. whew! I have over 500 lenses, so I don't mind if a few low ones get locked - I just delete those. but my money-makers, I want to protect!! lol
I have a half dozen Squidoo lenses, have not met the filter. I think the lenses I have are rich enough with content to avoid problems. As for original, it's all mine.
My lenses are product focused, they're commercial, but I try to tell a story about using the main product or about how it may be used. I learned a lot from OWM, then expanded with a few other teachers.
I try to follow Tiffany Dow's advice to answer questions the reader may have about the product, focusing on benefits for the user.
Not making much so far, but am seeing traffic numbers pick up. I figure now it's about time.

My top lens has moved from rank 5,000 to rank 800 since the changes, so i am pretty happy with that!
Yeah DomW! That's fantastic! I can't see much difference in my top rankings yet, but I am sure glad you can - that's the point of what they are trying to do, I think - reward quality content. Have you updated or created new lenses to test the new filter yet? I think that filter mechanism will make a huge difference in the quality at squidoo. I hope so anyway.
