My Foot has reminded me why i need to do this?
Well two weeks ago I went to work, it happens every so often. I went outside to put out the compost and slipped on grass! I watched as in slow motion my leg slipped out at an odd angle as I headed down the slight slope. Carrots, potatoes and various vet flew into the air and landed around me.
There I lay.
alone and unable to move, I did a mental check, any back injuries - no could I move yes. Could I kneel or stand? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Ouch, I'm a wimp. So I dragged myself to a bench and proceeded shouting for help. Finally it came, but unable to stand I went to hospital for x-rays. I was certain I hadn't broken it and I was right. But that didnt mean I could stand so off i hopped on crutches. Hmm my balance is crap the best of times so this wasn't the easiest of tasks for me.
What has this to do with IM?
EVERYTHING!
Result - no way to earn an income
So a week without really being able to go on the computer set me to thinking about just how important a residual income is. My foot will mend - hopefully. But you are so at the mercy of your employer and that pay check that if anything happens you are in trouble.
This is no way to live in my book always at the mercy of someone else. So a reminder just how important it is to get IM right and stick at it no matter how long it takes.

Thanks for sharing. I hope you are doing better. I also want to be sure to have another income other than where I work, and you know what? As long as we keep going with this we will have multiple streams of income coming in. Best Wishes to you.
Oh Moonstone, I'm sorry you hurt yourself. Sounds like a sprain. Are you better? Yes, it's important to consider every contingency of earning an income. We have to be as self sustaining as possible. Multiple streams of income, and other stuff too, if you can manage it. Hope you feel better soon.
I hope your foot is getting better fast.
Residual income, baby!
From at least a handful of sources. Unrelated ones too!
