This really resonates. I love the idea of consistency without pressure, allowing a hobby to become a safe space rather than another obligation. Thank you for the reminder that creativity is about expression and presence, not perfection.
I love how you said that. When creativity is allowed to be gentle and pressure-free, it becomes a place to breathe instead of perform. Showing up with presence, even imperfectly, is often where the most meaningful expression happens. Thank you for putting that into words—it’s such a grounding reminder ✨
Allowing yourself the time to simply enjoy being yourself creates a sense of presence that carries into everything else that you do.
That’s beautifully said 💛 When you give yourself permission to simply be, that sense of presence naturally flows into everything else—your work, your creativity, and even how you show up for others. It’s a powerful reminder that slowing down and honoring yourself isn’t wasted time; it’s foundational.
Creative hobbies is the future of personal success. We are moving into a world where you can b e more productive than ever, more efficient than ever, and explore more creativity than ever. We are ALL creators now, and we have tools now where we can let our imaginations wander, and create amazing things!
These are truly exciting times Monica!
“Absolutely! We really are in an amazing time where everyone can tap into their creativity. It’s exciting to see how hobbies and creative projects can lead to personal growth and even success.
“Absolutely! Hobbies often reveal our true passions and strengths in ways a resume never could. Sometimes what we enjoy most is the perfect clue to a fulfilling career path!”
True, which is why personality test systems don't do their job as they should. Why? Because what we write about ourselves only represent the moment, the moods we hold while writing it. But we are dynamic beings. We are not static.
The answers we give or choose are just pieces of the whole puzzle. Not the whole.

I make handmade cards for family and friends for all holidays and birthdays. Each card takes hours to make. I have been making them for about the last 6+ years. It is a tremendous amount of work, but it harnesses my creativity and helps me recharge. I also scrapbook, sew, garden and build planter boxes, desks, storage, etc. with my husband's help. Now that Christmas will be over in a few days, I don't plan to spend my time on anything until February 1! All of my energy will be going into building out my website here on WA. I am doing Jays 10k in 90 days, and I am already behind. So my goal is to catch up from now through January. I think my creativity can help me in this endeavor! I hope everyone will tap their creativity and use it!
Wow, that is truly inspiring! 💛 Handmade cards alone are such a labor of love, and the fact that you’ve been doing them for 6+ years really shows your dedication and creativity. It’s amazing how creative work can both energize us and help us recharge at the same time.
I love how you’re intentionally shifting your focus after Christmas and channeling that creativity into building your website and tackling Jay’s 10k in 90 days. Even if you feel a bit behind, your mindset and experience prove you already have the discipline and patience needed to catch up and succeed.
Wishing you lots of momentum and creative flow through January—your creativity is definitely one of your biggest strengths, and it will serve you well on this journey. You’ve got this! 🌟
