How often do we settle for what's available, and not for what is best for us? In the Affiliate Marketing space, we have so many options but with some research we are able to choose the product or service that is best for us.

So when you start looking at niches, products and programs here are some questions to ask first before jumping in.

Who is the Online Retailer?

Find out whom you are doing business with and if it is a reputable company. Remember there are scam artists out there. Never promote a product that you will not buy or use because if you promote inferior products or services you don’t believe in, clients may feel cheated and will not promote your website or return to purchase other products. Remember the more you know about what the retailer is offering you, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you.

Will it Cost You Anything to Join?

Most Affiliate Programs being offered today are free of charge. So, why settle for those that charge you before joining.

What are the Kinds of Affiliate Stats are Available?

Your choice of Affiliate Program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your website.

When do they Issue the Commission Payments?

Every program is different. Some pay once a month others pay quarterly. Some pay in gift cards and other in money. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice and payment type.
