So I have 2 websites, 1 that I plan on using to funnel just for weight loss (nomoremommybelly.com) and the other is HealthyMommyRN and is going to be more general health/nutrit
I’d think it’d be hard to write about weight loss without writing about nutrition, so I’m sure you’ll naturally have some overlap and quite a few areas it would be natural to expand upon.
I would start specific so that you know where to start (since it’s a big umbrella topic), and then work your way outwards naturally.

Is content better when more specific?

I'd say start by being super-specific and then start branching out to related topics. Think of this: You need to be able to write an endless series of posts about your topic, and after a while you will run out of ideas on what to write about. Then you need to expand a bit and take in related topics.

Thanks for the feedback, I was leaning in that direction as well!
