Change Direction? or Nah?
I'm just gonna lay some thoughts out and if anyone has feedback or suggestions, I welcome them.
In 2 weeks my blog will be 3-months-old. Last month I had over 7k views. I thought that was a pretty good second month even with only earning less than a dollar. Those views also helped me decide to keep going.
Well, 2 weeks into the month and I have had less than 200 visitors. I haven't done anything different that I'm aware of so I wouldn't know where to begin with repairing damage I can't see to get traffic again. <<< Discouraging
I am and have been since the beginning, unsure of my niche's profit potential— Yes, I got into this to make money. So I really don't need to hear crap about putting my audience first and how I can help, blah blah blah. I fully understand I need to produce quality content to gain and keep readers. How else would I monetize my blog if I couldn't get and keep an audience?
Anyway, when I decided on my niche I knew it'd be easy to write about and enjoy it (I do). I couldn't help to wonder if I should pick something that is more likely to make money. Now more so than ever.
I can't decide if i should go ahead and begin the work for a dfferent niche and website or not. I won't get rid of my current site. I'll still write and promote it, but I won't worry about monetizing it anymore.
My decision making skills have been garbage, at best, lately. It took me 3 days to decide to write this. Like, wtf?
Well, I thought that it would help me to decide by working it out in this blog, putting my thoughts into words but, nope.

Years ago I had an Etsy store. Unfortunate circumstances forced me to close shop about 4 years ago.
I constantly think about selling them again but, I'm afraid.
I'm afraid no one will like my designs and I'll just be losing money.
I'm afraid to set up shop and something will happen that will have me close again.
I don't know how to go about it any other way than with Etsy and I'm not positive I want to sell my stuff there again.
Again, I can't make a decision lately.
I guess I'. just afraid to fail. And I have NEVER been afraid of failing.
You have only been going since June this year and all great things take time
If you continue to grow your website I am sure you will gain more traffic and things will pick up
Failure only happens to people who do not try things so you have not failed- Keep on believing and moving forward and good things will happen

I feel like you should still continue with your current site as usual and just start up a second site to work on. 7k visitors a month is quite an accomplishment, and with only such a short amount of time I don’t feel like it’s potiential has fully been understood yet. I feel like I have left a comment on your page before but I can’t remember the niche.
What ways have you tried to monetize it?
I forgot to mention that that 2 weeks into this month I have less than 200 views.
I use google adsense, media.net, Amazon.
I also am a member of affiliate networks Sharasale, clickbank, CJ and Rakuten.
I do product reviews and link to affiliates.
Do you feel like you don’t have enough products to promote in the niche or are you worried about the income potiential of it? Or is it too competitive?
It's not crazy competitive. It relates to parenting babies and toddlers. No shortage of products.
The only answer I was ever able to conclude was traffic. That would make sense now but last month with 7k+, I shoulda had some clicks on affiliate links at least but no. Bad traffic I assume
Did you look at your analytics to see where your traffic was coming from and what pages they were visiting?
