I am building a new site, after creating the menu, i found out that the posts does not appear in any of the pages, it just appears on its own. How do I find out where they are
All posts will be in a category normally the default category on wordpress is called uncategorized. On your menu add the category your posts are in and you will be able to see them. If you are not sure what category your posts are in, click edit on one and look on the right side of the page it will show you. Hope this helps

If you're trying to add your posts to the top menu click on the posts tab in the menu area not the pages tab and add to menu. Place the posts (click and drag) underneath (indented) the relevant page or category. This will create a drop down menu.
If you're wanting to assign your blog roll as your home page, the system does that as a default unless you change it. You don't need to create a "home" page. It's already there. As a default your blog roll is on your home page.
You can delete the Hello World post.
I hope this answers your question.
