How do you put amazon widgets on a website ?
They disappear
Hi. You go into your Amazon Associates account. Click on widgets (at the top) and a whole bunch of choices will come up. You need to decide what one you want to use. Click on Add To Your Web Page.
Next, you need to search up the products you are looking for. You usually have to have so many to do a widget. Add the products that you want and it will put them in a list. Click on next step.
Pick your sizes on orientation, options, widget size, etc. Now click on Add To My Web Page.
A new screen is going to open up with your personal associate number embedded into the products you have chosen. Click the copy button, it all lights up blue.
Now, go into your website, right where you want this widget and paste it. ** Make sure you are in "text" on your page, not visual** After you paste it, hit update, then go to visual and it should be there.

I want the Amazon widget code in a sidebar, in a text widget box on my website that I get from appearance. I'll try again
I used the AlxVideo Widget and moved it the the "Secondary Sidebar", then I pasted the code into it in using the dropdown menu on the AlxVideo widget. You could give that a try!

I highlighted the text and clicked on bullets but that didn't work.
I have bullet points on my edit page but when i go to the site it is in paragraph form.

Hey, highlighting and clicking on the bullets should have worked. However, if you want to play with the coding, you can also go into the TEXT section of word press and manually code it. Here's an example.
The bullet list:
• Item # 1
• Item # 2
• Item # 3
• Item # 4
The coding:
Don't get me wrong Ahnna and goli's tip do the exact same thing and are a much easier way to do it. The only reason I usually check the code is when I have a bullet list within a bullet list and for some reason the bullets are all messed up, they aren't lined up where I thought I clicked. What happened is I actually clicked in the wrong spot and the bullet coding started in the wrong place in the code. Knowing the coding will help you understand and fix those little glitches but it really isn't necessary to go to this extent. I just like messing around with the code.. lol the geek in me.
This is how I do it: at the top of your unpublished post where the toolbar with all the editing functions are, click the box at the end called "toolbar toggle" so you can see all the functions available. Now the toolbar should show a bulleted list icon. Click on that. Make your list to your heart's content.
That way should work, other way its to click rigth before where you want a bulet and then click the bullet, and do so for each bullet you want.

When you publish a post...it will get ranked automatically. However it takes time and it also takes a lot of content to get higher and higher rankings.
Everything is laid out in order for you, just continue to follow the course lessons and you will have more content as you build out your website.
