What Have I Accomplished At WA So Far?

Let me begin by stating that I joined WA a little over a month ago and what a journey it has been! I am absolutely amazed at everything I was able to accomplish in so little time considering I work the usual 9-5 job.

What Started Me On This Blogging Path?

I work in a very technical field. I am an assist. project manager working in the construction industry. My days are filled with wearing a hard hat (not flattering for my natural hair at all btw,) steel toe boots (I admit they make me look cool on the construction site,) I wear jeans everyday (no complaints there!) demanding work and sweat (ok, complaints here.) I absolutely love what I do but since I overdose on outdoor activities during the week, I just want to relax and find something to do on the weekends, preferably in sweat pants, barefoot with the a/c on as low as it can go. I love to write, although whether my writing is good or not is debatable but still, it is fun for me. So, I thought about blogging but had no clue where to start which led me to...

Wealthy Affiliate!

A friend of mine started with WA last year summer and asked me to read his first post. I was amazed at how professional the webpage looked but knew that there was no way I can do what he did since I am not tech savvy at all. He pointed me to WA which provides everything for you including step by step training. I HAD to take a look. Then I was hooked! I knew from my first visit to WA that I was going to join and join I did. And what have I accomplished so far?

A Whole New World

Remember when I said I wasn't tech savvy? That was no exaggeration. Everything was completely new to me. You remember that feeling you had on your first day of school when everything was new and terrifying, and you were afraid you wouldn't fit in? Yep, that was me my first week at WA! Not only was I learning about blogging for the first time but also websites, niches, plugins, themes, domains, Jaaxy... and that was just the first course! I admit, the doubts started to creep in. I wasn't doubting WA but my own ability to understand and apply everything I was learning here.

The BEST Community!

What changed for me? What got me through? YOU ALL! I had so many questions and was afraid to annoy the community with them. I thought that the questions I had were foolish and a waste of everyone's time. Then I started to participate in the WA community: I began by reading your posts and watching your training videos. Then I started commenting on your posts and following you.Then you followed me back and encouraged me to ask questions. Well you certainly got what you asked for didn't ya? When I started asking you questions (which would be responded to in record time might I add) and sharing what I found as well, everything started to fall into place. I am not saying that I am now a WA expert, far far far from it! But my head no longer feels like it's going to explode, or at least not as much, and I am enjoying myself more.

So What Have I Accomplished So Far?

Nope, no money yet. However, I do have my very first website, it has been indexed by Google, I have created a FB page, Instagram account, Google+ account, learned how to create achievable goals, gained knowledge in a completely new field, helping other new WA members and of course gaining the support of the most creative, helpful, goal-oriented, funny, hardworking and fun community out there! I'm talking to you WA members! Next up? Adding more quality content to my website, creating more posts on WA, continuing to help the WA community, more training, looking into Pintrest and Twitter, affiliate programs and a ton more, and yet my head doesn't feel like exploding! In my book, these are huge accomplishments.
