SEO'd the heck out of the site
...however I didnt use jaaxy as recommended, was using Google keyword planner. I guess I'm a rebel, or maybe I'm just too SEO-ign'ant to know the difference in each's capabilities. As of yet, the page isnt drawing any exceptional amount of traffic, nothing out of the norm of what I'd typically see. So either I did it wrong, or maybe its just a cumulative effect over time and I'm just too impatient.
I was also having an issue with pages vs. posts. I am a newb with WP, and I THINK I could probably ditch the pages, but I need a more robust method of sorting between categories and tags. Because my site is broken into a few sub-topics, my blog feed is going to touch on all of them. I want a method where people can, if they choose, view only posts pertaining to a sub-topic. But I dont have that ability (or I do and I just don't know how to leverage it) so I am using pages to simultaneously sort and archive the posts by category.

Using submenu on your site with well chosen title for each coup work. They are here for this, that can people can click where they're interested ?
each sub menu has a title with high search results and low competition as well, and each of those pages has a blurb loaded with keywords too. but yes, the goal is for people to be able to fine tune their reading interest
