My progress as a turtle
This is my favourite chopstick box of rosewood with some lovely engraved turtles. These little guys seem so relevant when i think about my progress here, at WA. I am sure if we have to run a race with them they would swish past me at an incredible - or so it would seem to me - speed! :-)) I am very slooooow in my studies ;and site development, but being a stubborn, meticulous and patient taurean i actually like it that way. I go through lesson slow, but steady, do all the required tasks before moving to the next one and do not peek into future lessons. After few months here i just completed level 2, developing mostly one of my websites ( explorersydney.com) and do not make any money out of it yet.
I know i can jump ahead and use some of the excellent tips and training here, but because it has not come up in my lessons yet, i am restraining myself. Why? I need to be stable in what i know and wish my website to be to at least some minimum standard before i start monetizing it. That will come, in its due time. I have no doubt that i will be quite successful with my business and am here for the long run.
Creating this site on travel and bush walking requires the devotion of my every weekend to actually go somewhere and leave the computer, then do some research on the places i visited, work on the photos i have taken and may be even do a drawing/painting of an animal i sighted. That on top of full time work and additional courses ( work related). Ah, and not to forget The Gym! :-) But i like it that way! Feel to me well-rounded and gives me balance and stability, but also requires army discipline and hard work.
I do have a goal within a year to be able to generate enough income to replace my current job and hopefully to continue with my online business on a more full time basis. I will always be the person with one million hobbies and interests and my intent is as i get more proficient and efficient with the websites to add some more.
For now - "Heeey, turtles, wait for meee! I am running behind you as fast as i can!"

Milena - Beautiful woodwork. Great turtles. especially the one on the right going against the flow. A travel agent here continues to tempt me with Sydney pics. I had to explain I had a rep in Sydney (Milena) who could provide comment and virtual tours whenever I feel inclined. Keep up with the turtles. Larry
You just reminded me of the hare and tortoise story.Take your time enjoy the scenery.....it will make the journey worthwhile..and you will cross the finish line in your time..I agree with the way you handling it....Take Care.
Scenery is great, the funny thing is when i wrote the post my rank was 614, after it is 662, lol - self fulfilling prophecy!
I agree with you. I am a bit slow too in this training and even with website creation. But I have to do it this way because I have a full time job, family so I need to allocate to each avenue. I am not worried. I may not be in a position to give WA much in terms of training videos because I have not reached that qualification stage just yet but I am can provide moral support and be a good listener which I think I am very good at. Anyways know you are not alone dearie each person has to run their own race so I am running mine. All the best.
Thank you dear Serana, yes - life is a multicolored entity and has many aspects and dimensions we need to accommodate and invest into. But I guess we are like the marathon runners - it may seem forever, but we go the distance! :-)

Haha that just made me laugh- although that it nearly woke up my twins :s... good on ya girl! I have the same time frame goal as you and have been wondering if it's possible to pull off but your view just gave me a new pperspective :)

Thank you Elle, yes, it is possible! Not if....but when! I wrote it so those that feel a bit slow like me, get encouraged to keep going. And humour always helps
