Are you able to expand your niche a little wider? Deodorants could be a couple of articles for a specific niche. I'm not sure how much articles you can create for just deodorants. However, you can most definitely do that.

Some people would start on a very specific topic and then gradually expand later on. However, your domain name would be affected in case you want to further expand your site.

The most important thing when choosing a niche is your general direction so you know what you want to write about. As you go along and find that you want to broaden your niche to include other aspects, there is no problem with that. As long as you choose a domain that covers it all, you will be fine. So you are flexible to a certain extent.
