Lesson from a writing legend of legends-Stephen King
Stephen King is well known in the Horror genre. But did you know he has also diversified into romance , science and other areas of literary concentration?
King has published 55 novels, including seven under the pen name Richard Bachman, and five non-fiction books. He has written nearly 200 short stories, most of which have been compiled in book collections. Many of his stories are set in his home state of Maine.
He began writing at age 7 but his novels began to be widely known as early as the 1970's.
If we pattern and craft our style on his principles, we can't go wrong. More on this exemplary writing specialist here.

I have to admit that I haven't read any of Stephen King's books purely because I can't handle anything horror related.
I remember belonging to a book club some years ago and learned then about Stephen King's horror writing. No doubt that was embedded my mind and blocked any future consideration of reading Stephen's literature. No doubt I've missed out on some valuable writings!
He has one title "on Writing" Valerie and so has moved into the non fiction realm. So many of his stories have writer's angst mixed in. It is memorable how the different pages and formats of the working manuscript in "The Shining" became blank.
Thanks for that Michael. You've given me a totally new understanding of Stephen King. It's intriguing to read what you say about the blank pages. I will look further at this works.
I've just found videos and much more on the internet, all relevant to your advice.
Thanks again Michael. Plenty of knowledge to absorb and expand my previously limited understanding of Stephen King's writings, or even the man himself.
I've read every one of his novels including all the Dark Tower series. Just have to catch up with the 2 or 3 new ones in hardback.
He was our son's favorite author. We would buy his books for our son and he would stay up and read until he read it to the end.

Couldn't be said better..No... some of the great Russian classics said "If you can restrain from writing- don't write"...it's not an exact quote, but very close...:)
