Drugstores Now too

Rite Aid Corp. is planning to close up to 117 stores in the next year as it tries to cut costs following a $2.3 billion loss in the last quarter.

The company said the shutterings would be scattered around the country, targeting stores with weak sales and those in proximity to another Rite Aid.

Rite Aid indicated its fourth-quarter results were hurt by the economy, a mild flu season and the infusion of new low-cost generic drugs.

Rite Aid comprised 4,901 stores located in 31 states at the end of February 2017. Rite Aid is the closest drugstore to me. The apocalypse is getting close to home.

Investment picks in the drug industry need to be kept on the watch list!

I like Riteaid. I hate to see them close so many stores. I am not a fan of CVS and Walgreens.

That's awful since it's the closest one to you. I used to go to Rite Aid all the time when it was close to me. Now It's about the furthest Drugstore from me.

I'm no fan of Rite Aid, but I still hate to see so many brick and mortar stores disappearing. I guess that's progress.

We have Rite aid and CVS here. But Walgreens is kicking both of them. Maybe better store placement and better business model.

How is this Rite Aid related with the RiteMed here in the Philippines? It seems RiteMed no well supported because people tend to buy the branded ones.

I saw this - also by me is CVS that is having problems too.

That's the other big one!

That's rough... My last two jobs were at pharmacies and we were definitely having some difficulties. We had already trimmed our staff to the barest minimum, but all that did was frustrate customers.

The RiteAid by our house closed late last year, the folks in there were so nice, but with Walgreens and CVS being adjacent there in River Ranch which is the upscale part of Lafayette, Rite Aid was archaic comparatively. At least less people are getting sick... Or one would hope...

You never fail to deliver great posts! I feel bad for the ones that will loose their jobs. But at the same rate, they definitely need to hear about the Wealthy Affiliate opportunity! There's room for everyone!

Becky :)

It is disturbing when big stores start closing their doors.

I'm happy that you have these goals. One of my sites was taken down for no good reason tonight. If you look for the one on fake sites you won't find it. Happens at this level.

I'm proud and happy to see you up at 109 at the gate of top 100. I want you to get to ambassador level and I hope that happens in the next 2 months or less. I'm going to go out and celebrate on that day. Heck Susan if I could do it I'd trade you my position right now!

Have a great night! Mike

I am worried about dropping under the 100 mark because people might think I know what I am doing!

I better get back into those lessons!!!

Thank you for your support!

Susan
